Au Petit Tonnelier sur Strasbourg

To conclude our three-day visit to Strasbourg, we chose this fantastic restaurant, and what a hit it was! It is a small and incredibly cozy place, located on a super charming street. Everything was perfect right from the moment we arrived: the friendly owner and the incredibly attentive and hospitable waitress served us excellently all evening. After the aperitif, we chose the fresh tuna from the specials as a starter and — due to a small language mistake of my own — the beetroot carpaccio. Both were surprising and incredibly delicious! Naturally, accompanied by a fine French wine. For the main course, we both went for the steak with peppercorn sauce. It was truly outstanding, served with extremely tasty, crispy homemade fries. You can tell: this was without a doubt the big winner of our three-day culinary visit to Strasbourg. Definitely a must-visit if you are in the city (but absolutely make sure to book in advance)!

Le Petit Tonnelier is an excellent restaurant in Strasbourg! We had a wonderful time. The dishes were delicious, prepared with high-quality ingredients and great care. A big thank you also for the impeccable service. The owner is particularly friendly and welcoming, and takes the time to chat with his customers, which makes the experience even more enjoyable. I highly recommend this restaurant and we will definitely return!

A wonderful discovery on Rue des Tonneliers. We had a delightful time; everything was perfect from start to finish. The cuisine is generous and full of flavor, with a special mention for the elegant presentation of the dishes. We particularly appreciated the combination of textures, especially the rich sauce that complemented the meats beautifully. To top it all off, we enjoyed a lovely Paul Fahrer Gewurztraminer that paired perfectly with the meal. A delightful culinary surprise that makes us want to return very soon. Thank you for this memorable experience.

Excellent food!!! Small place, but really special tastes. We had the salmon salad, the gazpacho, the beef and the spatzle with cheese sauce. All were great. The service was very good, so in general it was an experience I will remember!!!

We ordered an impressive and delicious homemade cordon bleu (allow about thirty minutes for preparation)

First of all, a very cute little French place run by an old but very friendly man. We were greeted nicely and given the menu along with the daily specials. We were given some free mini pretzels while we looked at the menu. The (French) food was truly delicious. We had escargots, potato gratin with salmon, cordon bleu, and steak tartare. The only thing that could be improved is that the red onion in the steak tartare could be cut just a little smaller. It was a pleasant experience, and we spent 50 euros p.p. for starter + main course + dessert + drink. We both felt it was completely worth it.

Excellent meal, fresh and homemade ingredients. Fair prices for the location and quality service. I recommend it!

A truly authentic restaurant, with attentive staff and a very caring owner. The portions were very generous and the homemade food was absolutely delicious. (As many "very"s as stars!) A restaurant to enjoy without hesitation!
