Passing through Cancale, we had a meal at Le Pied d'Cheval. The welcome was very friendly, and the shrimp, cod, and mussels were delicious. The upstairs dining room was very pleasant, with a lovely view from the balcony. I highly recommend it! 😋

A fantastic place to experience authentic Cancale seafood. The oysters were incredibly fresh and harvested locally, and the seafood platter was generous with excellent quality throughout. Everything tasted fresh from the sea. The service was friendly, attentive and welcoming, making us feel comfortable from the moment we arrived. Sitting outside and enjoying fresh seafood in the heart of Cancale made for a memorable experience. If you’re looking for a genuine oyster and seafood experience in Cancale, this is definitely worth a visit. We would happily come back.

Good value for money. The oysters are good, as are the mussels with cider and bacon. The fries are extra and frozen (but not very expensive). Pleasant service. We'll be back, at least for the oysters.
