I highly recommend this restaurant; the welcome was excellent, the service was top-notch, and the chef and pastry chef were both superb.

This lovely restaurant within the Briançon citadel is a wonderful discovery. The dishes are generous and delicious, and some classics, like the vitello tonnato, are given a wonderful twist. You can go there without hesitation!

The cuisine is refined and original, based on quality, seasonal ingredients. The service is impeccable, with a smile and friendly staff, and they offer excellent advice on wine selection. The value for money is exceptional for the experience (tasting menu). A truly wonderful place that we highly recommend.

A wonderful discovery with the €41 menu. It was delicious and we found the portions to be just right. We didn't expect to find such a great restaurant in this touristy area. Our compliments to the whole team.

It's been 10 years since we discovered "Le Plaisir Ambré" and its chef, Michael Chassigneux. Since then, every season, we come to sample the chef's new creations. We are always delighted by the high quality and constant evolution of the dishes. This restaurant is undoubtedly one of the best, if not the best, in the Briançon area. Mr. Chassigneux has the makings of a Michelin-starred chef. Judge for yourselves!

Everything was perfect! And it's become so rare that, not being used to rating people, I'm leaving a special message for this delightful place... the cuisine was outstanding, bravo to the chef! Special mention for the very pleasant and professional hostess! Go there now!!

The welcome was simple but efficient, and the menus suited us perfectly. The starters and main courses were of good quality, and the plates were beautifully presented. The only slight drawback was the desserts, which were less inspired. Very good wines by the glass. The service could be more personalized. The dining room is simply decorated. We recommend this restaurant in Briançon.

In my opinion, this is the best dining experience in Serre Chevalier/Briançon. The service was incredibly accommodating from start to finish, and the level of culinary mastery in each dish was clear, beautifully presented and thoughtfully prepared. What truly stood out was the chef personally coming out to help accommodate a meal for a child, which made the experience feel especially warm and personal. An exceptional meal and an unforgettable evening. Will definitely be back and recommend this restaurant to anyone seeking a gastronomical experience at its finest.

We had an excellent dinner at Au plaisir ambre. The food was exciting and perfectly cooked. The service was friendly and efficient and the dining room elegant. Superb value for money. If you plan to dine out in Briancon, you should definitely visit Au plaisir ambre.

16/07/2026: A beautiful restaurant at the entrance to Briançon. The dining room is simply decorated but very tastefully. The tables are spaced far apart, creating an intimate atmosphere. The service and welcome are top-notch! The dishes have bold flavors and are revisited to perfection (tomato and mozzarella appetizer), and what can I say about the cigar-shaped dessert? The only way to appreciate the quality of this dessert is to taste it!

The cooking is perfectly executed, the flavors are just right and worthy of a truly exceptional restaurant. It's a flawless experience in the kitchen, with a level of gastronomy that delights the palate. The only area for improvement concerns the dining room. The decor and overall atmosphere unfortunately don't quite match the excellence of the food. A slightly more refined and welcoming setting would further enhance the remarkable work done in the kitchen. Nevertheless, I highly recommend this restaurant for the exceptional quality of the meal, which is well worth the trip.
