Au Vent des Globes sur Bray-Dunes

We hadn't booked, but on August 15th the restaurants weren't taking reservations. We got a table anyway. But we had to wait a long, long time to be served, which wasn't ideal with a young child. Then, when it came time to pay, they wouldn't accept credit cards. Otherwise, the meal was good, and the seaside location was a bonus.

The service was very slow, but the atmosphere was lovely with a sea view. The mussels were excellent, but the fries, the gourmet coffee, and the desserts weren't great. 🍓

We ate very well! The fish fillet was excellent, and the tenders were too! The servers were very welcoming, and the price was reasonable.

In a relaxed, friendly atmosphere, a pleasant opportunity to have lunch overlooking the sea.

As a family, we stopped for some ice cream. The young waitress and waiter were friendly, and the ice cream was delicious. I recommend it.

We came to Bray-Dunes today for the day. We hadn't planned to eat there, but we decided to give it a try. We were lucky; they had a table for three left! The very kind lady explained that it's best to book in advance. The mussels were delicious, and the shrimp croquettes were tasty. My youngest wasn't hungry, so they spontaneously offered to put a plate on top of my mussels so he could help himself if he wanted (and he did!). It was so sweet of them. The fries were very good and not greasy (we're Belgian, so we know our fries!), and the desserts... The ice cream was divine; the soft-serve cake was a big hit with my eldest. I was able to observe the comings and goings of the waiters, who were very attentive to each table, paying attention to the comfort of the young children (for example, to the one who needed a seat cushion to be at table height), and regularly checking on everyone's satisfaction. We hesitated between having dessert right away or coming back later, but we had it immediately; it was early afternoon and we wouldn't be long before leaving. The owner suggested we book for after 4 pm because between 3 and 4 pm is their own lunch break. They, too, have the right to eat and relax a little after running around trying to please their customers! The tables were cleared quite quickly and cleaned immediately afterward. In conclusion, we will make it a regular spot in Bray-Dunes and will definitely return to eat at Le Vent des Globes... But now that we know, we'll book in advance! A very simple beachfront restaurant with very friendly service. The food is simple and perfectly adequate. There are only a few dishes, which is a good thing.

We just had a drink on the terrace and the service was impeccable! They offer a very local beer (from Brasserie des 4 Écluses in Dunkirk), which is unfortunately all too rare in cafes in general... And what's more, it's excellent!
