We have come to Le Vieux fourneau several times and I must say that we have never been disappointed! Top server, great value for money, quite a few choices on the menu, very pleasant atmosphere, I recommend

My wife and I both opted for the Gourmet Menu at 35€ and thoroughly enjoyed it. Well cooked food, nicely presented and friendly attentive service too. A little bit away from the main tourist restaurants and the majority of the clientele were French, always a good sign.

good service, smiling and friendly staff. Good value for money for the menu at €26. we ate well. For a last minute reservation, we were seated in the veranda. Small table in a corner but close to the front door and being a little cold, they didn't hesitate immediately to turn up the air conditioning.

Unobtrusive and unexpected! A small restaurant with a winter garden. A menu for €26 per person Starting with an appetizer as a greeting from the kitchen and ending with dessert, it was an absolutely unexpected culinary delight. Each of the three courses was perfect in terms of appearance, craftsmanship and taste. For the rather dreary Calais, the spontaneous visit here was an unforgettable experience for our palate!! Served by an extremely friendly and attentive staff! All thumbs up!!! We will come back!!

Very good evening at the old stove. We ate very well for an affordable price. The servers were welcoming and knew how to take into consideration our pace for the meal. I recommend. PS: entry to Maroille is a treat.

27/09/2024: Went there at lunchtime, had space, the service and the boss were very nice and friendly. Everything went well, despite the communication problem. Had lasagna for the day, very good and plentiful. Great

Du Vignoble au Verre

28/09/2024: I recently discovered a restaurant that completely won me over. From the first dishes, presented in a mini casserole dish, I was amazed by the succulent flavors. Each bite revealed the know-how and passion of the restaurateur, which is felt at every moment. The welcome is exceptionally friendly, creating a warm and authentic atmosphere. As for wines, the selection is simply excellent, perfectly in harmony with the dishes. The value for money is impeccable, with generous portions that will satisfy even the most gourmands. Special mention for the homemade foie gras, absolutely crazy. It was delicious, melting. The blueberry-speculos gratin dessert ends the meal in style. Real explosions of flavors. This restaurant is a perfect example of those who take care of even the smallest details, and that makes all the difference. The hot plate? Amazing. THANKS. The decor is perfect with the setting. All these empty bottles seem to tell a story. A big congratulations for the energy and passion that shines through in every plate. Congratulations to the chef. The person, the boss, in the dining room was all alone, what courage to serve so many tables! To recommend without hesitation!
