What a fantastic discovery in Calais! 🇫🇷❤️ Au Vieux Fourneau truly impressed us and is definitely one of the restaurants you shouldn't miss when visiting Calais. Even the welcome was warm and friendly. The entire team was attentive, friendly, and incredibly helpful – you feel welcome from the very first moment. 😊 And the food? Simply amazing! 🤩 Fresh ingredients, expertly prepared, wonderful flavors, and generous portions. This is exactly how we imagine French cuisine! We especially appreciated that you don't just get beautifully presented dishes, but genuinely good, honest food where you can taste the quality. The value for money was also absolutely convincing. You really get a lot for the quality and quantity. The ambiance is cozy and typically French – exactly the kind of restaurant that makes a French holiday culinary experience perfect. 🇫🇷🥂 We were completely satisfied and would come back anytime. A definite recommendation for anyone who wants to eat well in Calais!

Fantastic restaurant! We came for three people during the evening service and left pleasantly surprised by the set menu featuring local specialties for only 28 euros! A truly delightful experience! For starters, the famous Belgian endive soup, a true local favorite, was wonderfully smooth and perfectly balanced. The main course was salmon, beautifully grilled on the outside and cooked to perfection on the inside, juicy and tender, served on a bed of roasted vegetables. Special mention goes to the saffron-infused mussel cream. And finally, the highlight of the meal: the apple crumble with a scoop of ice cream, simply divine. In short, delicious local cuisine, warm and efficient service, and a guaranteed wonderful evening.

A truly wonderful experience! I came to eat at this restaurant with two friends. The entrance was warm and inviting, with simple yet welcoming decor. The waitress was absolutely fantastic—her smile, her knowledge, everything about her deserved a raise. Seated at our table, we received the menus and were surprised by the prices: €28 for a set menu of starter, main course, and dessert, featuring high-quality, typical northern French cuisine. Every single dish I ate was a delight for the taste buds. The explosion of flavor I experienced in the tender beef cheek was indescribable. All this for €28, I remind you. I only have one thing to say: delicious food at a great price. I highly recommend that you visit this wonderful restaurant with its enthusiastic staff. I thank life for leading me down this path. A fantastic discovery! I heard about the restaurant from friends, who apparently said it was excellent, and the rumor is true! Special mention for the pork cheek with Maroilles sauce, which is also on the €26 set menu!! A wonderful time, a real treat, and welcoming staff who know how to take care of their customers. The love of good food never ends, and it will never be a bad thing at Le Vieux Fourneau 👨🏻‍🍳.

Family-friendly restaurant and everything was perfect 👌 The service was friendly and quick. The dishes were tasty and plentiful. The atmosphere was very pleasant. And the bill was quite reasonable for the price. Highly recommended 😇
