Excellent food and welcoming, friendly staff

My wife and I dined at this restaurant in early July and were very pleased with our experience. The quality of the food was impeccable: the cuisine was refined, the dishes were beautifully presented, and the service was excellent. However, we found the portions a little small. We opted for the €44 set menus, which offered good value for money, featuring high-quality, well-prepared seasonal ingredients. The wine list was excellent, presented by a waiter who clearly knew it inside and out. The glasses were generous, but the prices were rather high. The dining room was lovely, with a beautiful view of the old harbor. P.S.: When a side dish is pointed out to be burnt, the customer isn't told it was roasted... We've seen dishes with roasted vegetables, and we've seen burnt food too! So, the kitchen could easily replace the side dish instead of implying that the customer doesn't know what they're doing. It's quite unpleasant and leaves a bad impression. P.S.: A detestable and arrogant mention to our English table neighbors who couldn't understand that a restaurant isn't the place for a video chat on your phone and who told you, in English, to shut your mouth... A big thank you to the other English tourists who said the same thing to him and supported my actions.

If you have some time, this restaurant is worth considering. The food is excellent, however, the service is sloppy and slow. Very slow. The dishes are beautifully presented and delicious, but it takes forever. Did I mention it was slow? It was slow. Very good, but slow.

My son invited us to the restaurant in Old Honfleur for the second time. We enjoyed two superb seafood platters, very generous and very fresh, accompanied by a Riesling. We highly recommend the tarte tatin, which is simply incredible. We were delighted to return and see the friendly team at this restaurant, which we wholeheartedly recommend. We will definitely be back.
