We were there at a time of day when the restaurant was closed. But we were able to drink cappuccino and water at a table outside. We spoke to the owner and were allowed to visit the restaurant and the wine cellar. A bit eccentric, but super cozy. We enjoyed the atmosphere and the music from Nabucco. You're close to Notre-Dame and on the side street, but somehow far away from the hustle and bustle. TOP!!!

The place looks like a slum from the outside but inside it has a classic paris decour that must be experienced. The waiter was charming and a very colorful character. The bistro style food was better than normal and prices ok considering what you get. Highly recommended!

Magical place, timeless! Exceptional welcome by Frédéric, multilingual room manager and passionate about singing! His tenor voice still rings in our ears with delight! Tasty and widely served regional cuisine. Generosity: in the dining room, on the plate…. This is the term that could characterize this place. One thing is certain: we will come back!

The first time we visited this special place we had an excellent night. The last visit however the food was not too good unfortunately. One dish was so extremely poor you couldn't call it a dish at all: non-prepared spaghetti with nothing. The promised three different pesto's existed of one tiny little bit of green pesto. I think the personnel was this time too busy downstairs with singing with and entertaining some drunk girls.

Le Cavalier Bleu

13/03/2024: I am disappointed to see bad reviews about this restaurant. We ate well, right in front of the Pompidou (where the probability of eating badly is very high, given the very touristy context like this). The service was correct, fast and friendly, with high value for money. If I'm in the area again, I won't hesitate to return. Italian tartare...very good!
25/02/2024: A nice place but… but we were too hot under the air conditioning, the kitchen was not bad.

18/03/2024: We went for a drink, very warm welcome and good atmosphere
07/03/2024: A short walk from Invalides and worth every step! For starters the Pâte en croûte Richelieu .. magnificent. Followed by Souris d'agneau purée truffée (lamb & mashed potatoes w/truffles) .. outstanding! Paired with Chorey-Les-Beaune (Bourgogne) .. absolutely perfect!
