Disappointing. The road leading to the inn offers a beautiful view. Unfortunately, the inn is surrounded by trees whose canopies almost completely obscure this view. €30 Set Menu Starter: either half a buffalo mozzarella, or lettuce with three thin slices of cheese and "Italian charcuterie," a pompous term for four very thin slices of coppa. The main course was served on chipped plates! Either a quarter of a duck breast, already sliced ​​and overcooked, or a very dry grilled duck confit leg, accompanied by a small amount of potato gratin heavily flavored with nutmeg and very few seasonal vegetables. Desserts served: Avoid the croustade, which lacks butter. The baba isn't a baba at all, but rather a kind of pound cake soaked in a sugar syrup where you can barely detect the Armagnac, and topped with a tiny amount of canned whipped cream. The strawberry melba is served with a scoop of low-quality vanilla ice cream. Overall, very disappointing. It had been a long time since we'd been there, and we won't be going back.

This review pertains solely to the restaurant. The establishment is located in a charming old building, surrounded by magnificent natural surroundings. The regional dishes are refined, served in generous portions, and presented with taste. The dining room is tastefully decorated, and the seats are comfortable. I would suggest some background music, which could add a touch of warmth. My only minor complaint: the fact that cutlery is not changed between the appetizer and the main course is perhaps acceptable in a cafeteria, but certainly not in a restaurant of this caliber. In any case, I highly recommend this excellent Gers restaurant, confident that this small point for improvement will be quickly addressed by management.

We stayed at "Au Vieux Pressoir" in March as a family for a special occasion, and the place lived up to all our expectations… and even exceeded them. The setting is simply magnificent: peaceful, verdant, and perfect for relaxation and getting away from it all. The rooms are tastefully decorated and very comfortable. The breakfast is generous, varied, and of high quality. We also organized a dinner for our ceremony with a group of 34 people. Everything was remarkably well-orchestrated: a typical Gers menu, delicious and authentic cuisine, and a passionate chef who elevates local products. The service was impeccable, attentive, and efficient. The room layout was perfect, the food and service were top-notch, and everyone left delighted. What truly made the difference was the support from the entire team, with seamless coordination before and during the event and a remarkable ability to adapt (the chef will understand 😉). I highly recommend this venue for both a relaxing getaway and event planning. Having traveled extensively around the world and stayed in numerous establishments, I can say that this combination of quality and genuine warmth is rare. Here, you truly feel in good hands. A huge thank you to the entire team for your professionalism and kindness. We will definitely be back.

An absolutely stunning menu and incredibly attentive staff, all set in a beautiful green environment! We went as a family of five and everyone thoroughly enjoyed their meal (starters, main courses, and desserts were all excellent)! I highly recommend it; it's well worth the trip!
