A family-run inn with a slightly dated interior, an outdoor terrace, and easy parking. The portions are generous and very good. The bison meat was tender and served with an excellent sauce (I was so eager to try it that I forgot to take a picture!). The kougelhopf, glazed with kirsch, is served automatically with whipped cream, whereas other restaurants charge extra! The waitress was pleasant and remained smiling despite the large number of people she had to manage (it was a group). This inn is well worth a visit.

We ended up at the "Auberge de la Frohmuhl" based on the reviews, and first impressions can be deceiving: from the outside, the place doesn't look very inviting, the interior is very rustic, time seems to have stood still 60 years ago—but the food, on the other hand, is delicious. The elderly owner and his wife took over the restaurant in 1988 and haven't changed a thing. Since the restaurant is open every day from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., Monday to Sunday, I asked him "why" and whether he was thinking about retiring. His answer was: "Well, you know, we cook every day for about 25 senior citizens from the surrounding area, and we certainly don't want to let these people down. If we're here anyway, we can stay open and serve all the other guests." 🙏🏻👍🏻 We'll be back! ❤️

From the outside, the place has a simple ambiance, but inside it's very cozy and spotlessly clean. A very warm welcome, with German-speaking staff, and above all, delicious, fresh, and authentic food – veal steak with chanterelles, everything fresh and flavorful. Great job, keep it up!

We booked a table based on Google reviews. We loved it! Even though the place still has a 70s/80s feel to it, the food is excellent and plentiful. The waitress is very friendly and the owner is very kind. Honestly, a gem if you're in the area.

Friendly host (also speaks German), the ambiance feels like it's been frozen in time for many years. The food was alright. A particular highlight is the steamed dumplings on the second Wednesday of the month.

A restaurant with old-world charm, which only adds to its warm and authentic feel. We truly felt like we were eating at our grandparents' house, in a friendly, family atmosphere. The meal was good overall. The children's menu is particularly generous: for starters, ham with a very tasty mixed vegetable salad; for the main course, nuggets with fries and peas, simple but decent; and then ice cream for dessert served in a rooster-shaped container. A special mention goes to the 82-year-old gentleman who served us. He was extremely friendly, attentive, and kind. His presence greatly contributed to making the experience enjoyable and reinforced the feeling of being welcomed right into our own homes. A simple yet heartwarming experience.

Unlike some people whose comments are mean and unjustified, we love it! Yes, the place is a bit dated, like something from the 70s... So what?! The most important thing is what's on your plate, and we've never been disappointed. The prices are more than reasonable, and the ingredients are high quality. This restaurant is run by an elderly couple who deserve a lot of credit and have our utmost admiration. It's open 7 days a week, lunch and dinner, except Monday evenings—it's simply amazing! So, all you naysayers, just keep walking... We'll be back again and again as long as it's open...
