A place that perfectly captures the French way of life: uncomplicated, welcoming, and tasteful. What we especially appreciated was the friendly and warm atmosphere; we immediately felt at ease. And the fact that our "little" dog, a Leonberger, was so warmly welcomed made the evening perfect for us. Thank you so much for allowing us to enjoy our last evening in France before our journey home!

A quick stop on our way back to Alsace: friendly, smiling people, a simple yet delicious meal, and a lovely terrace shaded by beautiful trees. A welcoming place where the locals seemed like family.

Good lunch menu, but you can't get a table without a reservation. The food selection is limited to one dish – but that's a good thing. It's strange that they're closed Friday to Sunday.

A wonderful discovery based on a recommendation! I had a great time and the food was absolutely delicious. 😍 If I'm ever in the area again, I'll definitely stop by again! Special mention for the very warm welcome, I loved it. I love a friendly place where everyone laughs and the service is superb; the chef even came out to greet his customers. That's all I need to say (photo included) 😁😁😁🙏🏻🙏🏻✨✨✨✨✨

Auberge de La Frohmuhl

05/09/2026: A family-run inn with a slightly dated interior, an outdoor terrace, and easy parking. The portions are generous and very good. The bison meat was tender and served with an excellent sauce (I was so eager to try it that I forgot to take a picture!). The kougelhopf, glazed with kirsch, is served automatically with whipped cream, whereas other restaurants charge extra! The waitress was pleasant and remained smiling despite the large number of people she had to manage (it was a group). This inn is well worth a visit.
24/08/2026: We ended up at the "Auberge de la Frohmuhl" based on the reviews, and first impressions can be deceiving: from the outside, the place doesn't look very inviting, the interior is very rustic, time seems to have stood still 60 years ago—but the food, on the other hand, is delicious. The elderly owner and his wife took over the restaurant in 1988 and haven't changed a thing. Since the restaurant is open every day from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., Monday to Sunday, I asked him "why" and whether he was thinking about retiring. His answer was: "Well, you know, we cook every day for about 25 senior citizens from the surrounding area, and we certainly don't want to let these people down. If we're here anyway, we can stay open and serve all the other guests." 🙏🏻👍🏻 We'll be back! ❤️
