Fantastic restaurant where we went on vacation for a family treat. Definitely book ahead since it is quite small and fills up quickly. The food was wonderful and perfectly prepared, the hostess was helpful and polite and made us feel very welcome. Strong recommendation!

PERFECT! The room is tastefully decorated, preserving the authenticity of the place, which is cozy and quiet. The tableware is well-suited to the different dishes, and there's no wait without feeling rushed. The hostess is discreet and efficient. The food is exquisite, flavorful, and generous. Kudos to the Chef who prioritizes a smaller number of covers while still offering excellent cuisine with high-quality ingredients. We'll be back! 🤪

Very friendly and excellent food

A superb culinary experience. You can feel the chef's passion for cooking, and it shines through perfectly in his dishes: every element on the plate is carefully prepared. A delight for the palate. We particularly enjoyed the scallops with orange butter and the homemade pear sorbet. Go without hesitation. We will definitely return if we are ever in the area again.

We discovered the Auberge de la Golmotte during our holiday in Mont Dore and had a very pleasant time. We opted for the à la carte menu. The foie gras with homemade gingerbread was generous and excellent. The plates were also beautiful to look at, sprinkled with garden pea leaves – a delightful culinary discovery. The scallop dish was truly succulent with a shallot sauce and various equally delicious side dishes. Mashed potatoes, ratatouille, and candied carrots with their tops, while not groundbreaking, were also perfect in terms of both cooking and seasoning. As for dessert, the homemade pear sorbet and the praline chocolate crisp were simply divine! The ingredients are incredibly fresh and of high quality. The service is discreet yet friendly, and the serenity of this restaurant contributes to making the meal a truly delightful experience. Thank you to the chef and thank you to the waitress. We will return on our next stay in Mont Dore.
