Auberge de Monceaux sur Saint-Omer-En-Chaussee

My wife and I had dinner at the Auberge de Monceaux on a Thursday evening. The atmosphere is very cozy, the service efficient and pleasant while remaining discreet. The cuisine is based on local produce (from the restaurant's own garden and regional producers), with superb creativity that elevates basic ingredients (cabbage, Jerusalem artichokes, beets). Unbeatable value for money and a sure bet for a family meal or a romantic dinner. The Auberge de Monceaux is a restaurant that leaves a lasting impression on anyone who dares to visit it.

An incredible first experience! From start to finish! The staff were incredibly welcoming. Don't hesitate to step inside this establishment; we're sometimes surprised by what we discover. It's friendly, refined, and the decor is simple yet charming!

We were very pleasantly surprised by the intimate atmosphere, with its rustic yet modern decor. A prestigious and ideal place to spend a delightful time. The dishes were exquisite, worthy of a top chef. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal. This restaurant deserves stars.

They pull out all the stops. Beautifully arranged on your plate, but too many ingredients overwhelm the flavor. The starter had an overly reduced sauce, resulting in a sweet taste. The main course featured beetroot, also in excessive quantities, again contributing a sweetness that dominated all other flavors. As for the dessert, it was nicely presented but, unfortunately, tasteless. There was too much of this or that mousse in every course. The glass of wine was good, but at €11, it deserved to be more generous. In short, I feel like I dined with the trappings of high-end cuisine, but without any real flavor. What a shame!

An exceptional evening, a true work of art. From the chef to the service, not to mention the beauty of the setting, this is a must-visit for culinary surprises from Picardy and shared smiles ⭐ Thank you to the entire team for your hard work and dedication 👏

The meal was good. But we were disappointed by the dessert, which is a shame. It will make us hesitate to return, especially since the set menu is mandatory. The service was a bit slow. The parking lot was poorly lit and quite muddy.

Charming welcome. Even though the inn's kitchen was closed due to our late arrival, we thoroughly enjoyed a delicious cream puff. We will gladly return to try this cuisine. A lovely stop on our way to our holiday destination. December 21, 2025
