Excellent, simple, home-style cooking – a real treat. A little noisy, but the service is attentive. The owner, a southerner, puts her heart and soul into her work, speaking frankly and bringing sunshine to your plate. I recommend the lamb shank, which is melt-in-your-mouth tender. Thank you for your hospitality. I recommend it 100% (12 people for a birthday party).

A wonderful discovery! This great restaurant is a perfect stop between visiting Fontcaude Abbey and the medieval castle of Puisserguier. A delightful break in a very friendly atmosphere. Highly recommended! 🤩

A warm and inviting place in winter with its cozy fireplace, just as it is in summer with its superb terrace, designed to feel like your own garden, perfect for spending time with family or friends. I never tire of going there regularly; the staff is also very welcoming and knows how to make your stay special! A new chef who's doing great, so a wonderful season is in store. One Sunday evening in March, in the heart of the Hérault countryside, in a warm inn, packed like a Saturday night (a word of advice, even for a Sunday evening, out of season, book in advance): a very nice discovery with friendly hostesses, hearty, fresh and tasty dishes!

21/04/2026: Second visit... Surprise... The brand-new waitress was very friendly and smiling, while the second one, who seemed rather "older," was less pleasant. The plates were practically thrown onto the table, cold; I ordered a ribeye steak, which was cold, and my husband's duck breast was also cold. When dessert arrived, we were served again by the young new waitress, and it was much better.
13/04/2026: Popular with lunchtime locals, Le Helder is right next to the church in the centre of town and offers value and decent, honest grub. Fast, friendly service. We have lamb chops and chicken burger between us, aperos, a medium pichet of red and of course coffee. €50, no complaining from me. I noticed the charcuterie and cheese board door two at another table looked impressively large and varied, will give that a whirl next time.
