Auberge des Erables sur La Pesse

Our group of 12 hikers from the Haute-Marne region thoroughly enjoyed this inn, ideally located amidst magnificent scenery. The welcome was truly warm and friendly. The rooms are very comfortable and well-equipped, and the toilets and showers, located in the hallway, are impeccably clean. The evening meal was hearty and delicious, with a touch of the Jura region. The varied breakfast provided a wonderful start to the day. Special mention goes to the very helpful and friendly chef, who generously provided us with extra bread, as the village bakery was closed. Our group has already planned to return to this welcoming inn.

🍂 At Auberge des Érables, autumn is savored, and happiness is on every plate. 🍁😋 A huge congratulations to Chef Maël, who delighted us with cuisine that was as beautiful as it was delicious, colorful, generous, and bursting with flavor. ❤️ We started gently with a delicious butternut squash velouté, enhanced by its sprouts and hazelnuts… A true autumnal treat for the taste buds. 🎃 Then came the chicken supreme with Vin Jaune and morels, accompanied by its gratin: a generous, flavorful, and comforting dish, just the way we like it. 🤤🍄🧡 Here, the plates reflect the colors of autumn, the taste of the land, and above all, the spirit of sharing. And because happiness can't wait… a little frosty touch to finish in style with two scoops of fir bud and genepi ice cream 🌲🍦: a fresh, original, and mountain-inspired note, perfect for bringing everyone back down to earth after such a feast. 😂 A big thank you also to Sarah, our waitress, for her warm welcome, her smile, and her kindness. 🥰 Impeccable service that fully contributed to this lovely moment. In short, an inn where you come to eat, where you enjoy a delicious meal, and where you leave with a smile… and a very happy stomach. 😄 Well done to the whole team for this wonderful gourmet interlude in La Pesse. It's a simple hotel with rooms better suited to hikers, as there are shared toilets and showers for three rooms. But it offers excellent value for money in this category. The breakfast is very good, and the restaurant is perfect. The morel mushroom tarts and trout in Vin Jaune sauce are delicious. Highly recommended for hikers and food lovers.

While hiking in the region, we stayed at this inn because the Berbois refuge was closed. Thanks to the services offered, we had a very pleasant stay and managed to get everything we wanted (full board, packed lunches, etc.). A big thank you to the cook who prepared breakfast and packed lunches for us at 7 a.m. on a Sunday morning! The rooms are a bit dated, but the prices are consistent with the level of comfort offered.

We ate at this establishment twice and thoroughly enjoyed our meals! Very good quality for a reasonable price and top-notch service! They offer dry-aged beef, a real treat.

I recommend all the beef dishes at this restaurant. They were very well prepared and generously portioned. Unfortunately, the morel mushroom tart didn't live up to the quality of the rest of the meal: the morel flavor was barely perceptible and ruined by a bitter, burnt taste.
