🎭 L'Auberge des Garennes: A Festival on Every Plate From the moment I first stepped foot inside, I was enveloped by an atmosphere worthy of a monumental stage: the volcanic stone walls 🌋 seemed to tell a thousand stories, and the light played with the shadows like perfectly tuned theater lighting. My little HQ during the Aurillac Street Theater Festival took on its full meaning here, each visit becoming an act in its own right. The bourriol, tasted on the first day, was a revelation: each bite seemed to resonate like a gourmet monologue, hinting at the chef's talent and the richness of Cantal tradition. A few days later, the truffade took the stage, majestic, worthy of an epic finale, each piece triggering thunderous imaginary applause from my palate. But the real spectacle wasn't just in the food: the atmosphere with the Cantal regulars was an act of kindness and warmth. The laughter, anecdotes, and warmth of the locals transformed each moment into a memorable interlude, reminding us that the true magic of L'Auberge des Garennes lies as much in its dishes as in its genuine welcome. Each visit becomes a play in its own right, a blend of flavors, smiles, and emotions—a theater where you always leave dazzled, with the feeling of having witnessed a unique and precious moment.

Very good local cuisine!!! A daily menu for €16 with a wide selection of starters, main courses, and desserts! We had a blast! The waitress even took the time to put us aside for some much-needed peace and quiet. I highly recommend it.
