Auberge des Montauds sur Villard-De-Lans

I can't give more than 5 stars and it's a shame because this establishment is a marvel. A little corner of paradise. Not only is the location perfect, 10 minutes by car from the center of Villard de Lans, with a quiet view of the mountains, but the hostel is superb, the setting is idyllic, a play area for children (with 2 hyperactive children it helps a lot), a magnificent terrace. That alone would justify 5 stars, no, the owners are not satisfied with that and welcome you with magical kindness and benevolence and delicious dishes to die for, we took the half-board formula for 24€ with starter, main course , dessert such a treat from start to finish at this price, suffice to say that you won't find better anywhere else and the breakfast buffet with excellent coffee, delicious jams, chocolate French toast (which reminded me of good coupetade) It was really perfect. Concerning the studio, it was impeccable, a dream of charm with a view of the mountain and the cleaning was carried out with great care which was really pleasant. Only one detail saddened us... it was the end of the stay 🥲. Honestly, don't change anything, you're perfect. Thank you. You have gained new regulars.

Bon diner sur terrasse sympathique .Marge d'amélioration sur le petit déjeuner qui n'est servi qu'à partir de 8H ce qui est tardif pour les sportifs et une option ( oeufs , jambon , fromages ) pourrait être proposée plutôt que le pain et les viennoiseries qui conviennent mal aux sportifs .

Excellent accueil dans cette auberge située dans un cadre magnifique. Cuisine maison de grande qualité, produits frais et tarif très très raisonnable. Belle découverte, adresse a recommander+++

Pleasant welcome, good dishes with good products

We stayed in this hostel for 1 night from July 29 to 30, 2024. The welcome is very warm, the atmosphere friendly and the cuisine is very good with seasonal products. The rooms are ok but there would be some essential work to be done, style l has a shower in the bathroom as well as the taps. This work will undoubtedly be carried out soon because this inn has changed owners since November 2023. Certain things such as the outdoor terrace have been redone with great taste. The owners are really friendly and a special mention to the cook who offers very interesting menus. The geographical location is ideal, surrounded by mountains and a play area for children is very pleasant. Good luck to the owners, who have already done great things. Louise and Yves

Quiet hostel with a room with a beautiful modern shower The wooden terrace is magnificent as well as the garden seating area to enjoy a cocktail, it was relaxing.. The owner's mother is very friendly. Too bad that for 2 we had to pay the price of a master bedroom for 4 people, the owner could have done a little gesture. For a 2 star it is very correct.

Super inn run by young people, good welcome, good restaurant with typical dishes from the region. We will come back to ski or hike.

Cocooning hostel as we like it after a week of trekking. Refreshing, friendly place. pretty terrace but the must of the must the dinner. an explosion of flavors with fresh and simple products, a breakfast for kings with truly exceptional jams in terms of taste. moreover an establishment managed by a small couple who work hard for their inn in terms of reception, service and cuisine are on all fronts. the address is really worth the detour
