Plan to fast beforehand. Very good, hearty food with excellent service. Just a little updating of the background music... I recommend it.

What a wonderful discovery! Nestled in the heart of the Mormal Forest lies this beautiful inn, boasting a lovely, tranquil atmosphere, well-spaced tables, a crackling fire, and a cozy fireplace. The homemade cuisine is delicious and served in generous portions. The specialties are clearly marked, and the menu changes weekly, ensuring there's always something new to discover. And the most exceptional aspect was the welcome. The owner greets you with a handshake, shows you to your table, and takes the time (along with his staff) to explain the menu and suggest side dishes. He doesn't interrupt your meal, allowing you to fully savor the delicious food. He checks in to see if everything is alright and if you need anything. Just as upon arrival, he takes the time to greet each guest individually upon departure. In short, if you're ever in the area, don't hesitate for a second! It's a superb human and culinary experience that you absolutely must try.

Traditional cuisine in a rustic setting in the middle of the Mormal forest. Fresh ingredients, almost everything homemade. Generous portions. Friendly service. Delicious meals. A haven for hikers, hunters, and nature lovers. No frills, a good meal at a very reasonable price.

We came by this Sunday evening. Pleasant surprise, very warm welcome, limited menu but sufficient for a Sunday evening, very friendly.

Wonderful experience. We celebrated my wife's 40th birthday there. The inn is located in an exceptional setting, in the middle of the Mormal forest. The place is authentic, with wood-burning fireplaces and typical inn decor. Extremely friendly and professional staff. The food is excellent and local. All the guests have raved about the place. I highly recommend this establishment.

Inn in its original state. The photos are not representative of reality. Undergoing reconstruction, following medical problems, which doesn't prevent me from knowing that the quality of the food is good, limited choice but what is on the menu satisfied all my guests. The wines are tastefully chosen. The prices should be revised a little downwards to be in line with the service.

We discovered this place today after a walk in the Mormal forest. The place is dog-friendly, the value for money is good, and the aperitif platter is incredible. We'll be back.

A magical moment at the Auberge du Coucou We had an absolutely wonderful time. The warm welcome charmed us from the moment we enjoyed our aperitif on the terrace. The atmosphere was romantic and the food delicious. A big thank you to the entire team for this fabulous time. We will gladly return to the region to relive this experience.
