The meal was on par with a traditional pub. No complaints there.
The same cannot be said for the service…
It was too sloppy, there were mistakes in the order, and we felt constantly pressured to order quickly. It was disappointing.
There were two waiters: one young woman was very discreet, pleasant, and efficient, unlike her colleague who, through his behavior, pressured us to finish service quickly. We were a table of nine, arriving at 8:30 pm and leaving at 10:30 pm, including an aperitif, starter, main course, and dessert. We certainly didn't take our time!
It's a shame…

The food and wine pairings were beautifully presented. However, the service was extremely inconsistent, ranging from excellent to mediocre depending on the server. The restaurant was sweltering, with crumbs on the chairs and green flies everywhere. We were served by two different waiters: one young, professional, knowledgeable about wine, and attentive, and the other sweaty, overly familiar, struggling to explain the dishes and splashing customers with his nearly empty siphon (much like a limescale-encrusted toilet tap). The food was excellent, but when you spend over €80 per person, you expect service on par with a fine dining establishment.

A truly excellent experience from start to finish. The service was impeccable, with an attentive team. The dishes were refined and delicious, and the dessert was the perfect ending to the meal: a real delight. A must-try!

We had dinner at the Bistrot du Forgeron and thoroughly enjoyed it.
A calm and welcoming place. The staff are friendly, helpful, and always smiling.
Special mention for the Welsh rarebit: absolutely delicious!
Although everything was extremely good and the portions were generous.
We will definitely be back.
