Auberge du Lac sur Chatellerault

We celebrated our 50th wedding anniversary. The meal was perfect, and the dessert was superb (the apricot crumble was a delight). The service was impeccable, with a fantastic waiter. The owners of the inn were very welcoming. We highly recommend this restaurant.

It was absolutely delicious! The asparagus starter and the blue cheese dish as a main course were truly wonderful! I highly recommend it!

A very peaceful place; I wouldn't recommend it for families with children, as it's much better suited for two or more people. The homemade food was beautifully presented and delicious. A very satisfying meal. I recommend it.

Prawn salad: 3 prawns, 3 pieces of citrus fruit, salad without dressing but with salmon not listed on the menu (which I don't eat). Very good terrine. The veal wasn't very tender and the apricots were overcooked. Cheese plate: unfortunately, only 3 pieces on one plate. A bit disappointed for a €36 menu. Not a word from the staff beyond the usual pleasantries, which is a real shame.

A lovely little evening at the Auberge du Lac restaurant! Impeccable service! Snails, incredibly tender bull fillet, apricots with honey! Everything was harmonious, both in taste and presentation! The chef even came to our room and we chatted about the flavor and tenderness of the bull! Fantastic!

The starter, a casserole of scallops and shrimp, was truly delicious, as was the main course, a beautiful piece of fish accompanied by crisp vegetables and others preserved in syrup; it was absolutely perfect. However, I was very disappointed with the dessert, profiteroles: two choux pastries cut in half with a caramel sauce, really disappointing compared to the starter and the main course. What a shame...
