A delightful surprise! While cycling along the Allier River, we enjoyed an unexpected and delicious break. The setting was lovely, and the sweetbreads were generous. We left feeling incredibly energized...phew, the return trip by bike is going to be tough!

The restaurant was pleasant. We had the €28 meal. The starter and main course were really excellent, flavorful, and the portions were generous. For dessert, we ordered frozen nougat, and to my great disappointment, it wasn't good. After speaking to the manager, she insisted it was homemade. I showed her that my dessert was nothing like my neighbor's, but she wouldn't change her mind. As we were leaving, the manager informed us that there had been a problem with the dessert. As a thank you, she offered us complimentary coffee. A huge thank you to the manager for this information. Despite this minor incident, I highly recommend eating at this restaurant.

19/08/2026: The food was decent, although the steak was a bit firm. A nice touch was the appetizer.
15/08/2026: Impeccable, very professional service (no waiting, perfectly timed service). The menu is excellent, with a good selection but not too many choices, and generous portions. Special mention goes to the fromage blanc with a dollop of crème fraîche and shallots, a perfect way to break up the meal before dessert. Eating on the terrace is great, but a little improvement to the seating would be appreciated (the chairs are plastic).
