A memorable evening at L’Escale in Saint-Gilles-Croix-de-Vie! The atmosphere was incredible on Saturday night; the DJ kept the party going from start to finish. The service was top-notch, quick, and friendly even when it was packed. Special mention to the team for their warm welcome. A must-visit spot for a night out in Saint-Gilles!

It's a very good bar. Fast service. Fair prices and delicious platters. I recommend it. 33 years after my visit, the renovation is magnificent, a very beautiful renovation, congratulations to the owner.

19/08/2026: A delightful surprise! While cycling along the Allier River, we enjoyed an unexpected and delicious break. The setting was lovely, and the sweetbreads were generous. We left feeling incredibly energized...phew, the return trip by bike is going to be tough!
16/08/2026: Warm welcome with our dog, lovely dining room. We ate very well, excellent view of the canal.

19/08/2026: The food was decent, although the steak was a bit firm. A nice touch was the appetizer.
15/08/2026: Impeccable, very professional service (no waiting, perfectly timed service). The menu is excellent, with a good selection but not too many choices, and generous portions. Special mention goes to the fromage blanc with a dollop of crème fraîche and shallots, a perfect way to break up the meal before dessert. Eating on the terrace is great, but a little improvement to the seating would be appreciated (the chairs are plastic).
