Traditional cuisine, a cozy courtyard with a fountain for shady seating. Quick and friendly service, tasty beers and wines. Great for relaxing.

Lovely restaurant in the old town of Eguisheim. The restaurant is beautifully situated in the narrow streets of the old town and is located in a historic half-timbered house. Extensive menu with many regional specialties. Prices are reasonable. We had a wonderful evening here. We'd love to come back.

Excellent experience at this typical Alsatian restaurant. The atmosphere is elegant, very welcoming, and the staff are friendly. We ate delicious tortes flambées, and the traditional meat dishes were of excellent quality and plentiful.

16/06/2026: Arriving at 12:15 pm, there were still few customers, but the restaurant's terrace quickly filled up. We were pleasantly surprised by the small green salad, which was actually a mixed salad with sprouted seeds as a garnish. Enticed by the menu photos online, I was disappointed not to find my favorite salmon tarte flambée, but I made up for it with one with Munster cheese (ordered without bacon, as it overpowers the Munster's flavor). It was generously topped. My wife chose the forestière, which was also excellent. For drinks, we ordered a 0.25-liter carafe of Gewürztraminer, which, while it paired well with the meal, lacked the typical aromas of Gewürztraminer, especially considering the high price of €10. Our dog was given a bowl of water without us even asking. I therefore recommend this place.
16/06/2026: Nice little local restaurant. We went there for a meal. Right at the beginning, we were informed that they were currently only serving tarte flambée (probably due to the time of day or the time of day). No problem. We like that kind of food. It was also delicious.

26/05/2026: The food was absolutely nothing special. Plain asparagus with an unsuitable sauce. The appetizer was also rather mediocre: onion tart with an almost stale salad. And then there was that ice cream that tasted like sake or something similar. The asparagus was edible, but I left the ice cream untouched, as you can see in the photo. The service was extremely attentive and always available – no question about that. Everything else was rather lacking. I can't agree with the previous positive reviews.
21/05/2026: French duck is a bit tough, with a wild and grainy texture. The cooking and sauce were good, though. Why is that? It wasn't very tasty. It was completely different from the fatty yet delicately tender duck we eat in Japan. I feel it's a problem with the ingredients, but I can't help but feel disappointed. The staff were very service-oriented and always smiling.
