Caveau Heuhaus sur Eguisheim

Nice little local restaurant. We went there for a meal. Right at the beginning, we were informed that they were currently only serving tarte flambée (probably due to the time of day or the time of day). No problem. We like that kind of food. It was also delicious.

Arriving at 12:15 pm, there were still few customers, but the restaurant's terrace quickly filled up. We were pleasantly surprised by the small green salad, which was actually a mixed salad with sprouted seeds as a garnish. Enticed by the menu photos online, I was disappointed not to find my favorite salmon tarte flambée, but I made up for it with one with Munster cheese (ordered without bacon, as it overpowers the Munster's flavor). It was generously topped. My wife chose the forestière, which was also excellent. For drinks, we ordered a 0.25-liter carafe of Gewürztraminer, which, while it paired well with the meal, lacked the typical aromas of Gewürztraminer, especially considering the high price of €10. Our dog was given a bowl of water without us even asking. I therefore recommend this place.

A good traditional Alsatian restaurant in Eguisheim. We had dinner there and enjoyed their tarte flambée, especially the one with Munster cheese and the one with goat cheese and honey. The homemade tarte flambée was excellent, and the crème brûlée, flambéed just before serving, was a real treat. The prices are reasonable: €35 per person, including aperitif, main course, dessert, wine, and coffee. The cellar-style dining room is warm and inviting, and the service is friendly. A lovely experience.

Living near the village of Eguisheim, it had been a while since I'd been to the wine cellar with friends or clients, but Olivier and his entire team are as efficient, attentive, and pleasant as ever! Very tasty, friendly restaurant good atmosphere

The food was good, the service somewhat unfriendly. I found it odd that ordering one dish to share between two people cost an extra €100.00. However, even small appetizers (e.g., snails) counted as one dish.

A spontaneous stop during our motorcycle road trip, the restaurant was fantastic and the food delicious. The owner and staff were super friendly, the atmosphere was great, we had a blast. I highly recommend it and will gladly return 👍

Very touristy. But they don't have any "tourist drinks" like apple spritzer. Otherwise, it's a classic tourist trap, with perfectly okay food – rather unspectacular culinarily, but reasonably priced for the great location. PS: If you don't order a meal, you have to pay an extra €100… I'm responding to the owner's reply: I didn't write "tourist trap," but "tourist trap." So, a typical restaurant for tourists. I think Google Translate didn't work correctly there. Prices are reasonable for the location, but by "perfectly okay food," I simply mean that the food is more on par with a beer garden. And that's not meant to be offensive, it's just what you get there – adequate. I'm not trying to be rude, it's just what you get. Regarding the apple spritzer: on the day we were there, about 99% of the guests were there… and everyone knows what apple spritzer is… if you're making your money off German customers, you could simply mix sparkling water and apple juice, as you suggested – that would have been 5 stars for service… It would be unfair to give you 5 stars for either service or food; that would be doing a disservice to the restaurant we visited in the evening, because the service, the food, and the prices were more than 5 stars – if possible, I'd give it 6 stars.
