Auberge Du Steinlebach sur Oderen

Overnight address while walking the GR5. The room we had was really in need of maintenance. The towel bar was hanging out of the wall. The room had exactly 1 electrical outlet. Facilities limited. Communal showers and toilets. It all looks a bit unkempt on the outside and inside. The owner is friendly and quick to serve. The kitchen looks clean. We didn't really enjoy dinner. Sort of an English pie with pork. We couldn't quite identify the taste. We didn't like it that much, but maybe a local specialty. Breakfast was well organized. Good coffee!

Great experience in this incredible setting! An authentic Vosges inn. The welcome is very warm and simple. The boss's anecdotes and advice should be listened to without moderation! The food is good and varied! An address that meets neither more nor less the expectations of a traditional stay in a Vosges inn! to recommend

Tout était parfait.... l'accueil, la sympathie, la bonhommie du patron.... les odeurs alléchantes qui s'échappent de la cuisine, et qui nous rendent impatients de gouter...et là pas de déception :) aussi bon au gout qu'à l'odeur les chambres sont certes "vétustes" - et encore je préfère le terme authentique, mais hyper propres et confortables je reviendrai sans aucune hésitation - Virginie de Belgique lors d'un weekend avec Bruno le guide

We were well received, the meal is OK but less plentiful than in other hostels. A little expensive for a farm hostel

Most authentic Auberge. Don’t let the looks deceive you. Amazing staff, seems quite fun to work here. Food, atmosphere and location are great. The mattresses are too soft though.

We discovered the hostel during a weekend with my partner's paragliding club. We did not sleep there because we registered late for the exit and no more places were available. On the other hand, we dined there every evening for 5 days. Ideal location for hiking at Markstein and on the ridge route. A rustic and well-kept inn, we were made to feel very welcome and, yum, the meals were plentiful and delicious. 🤤 thank you to Sebastien and his team for ensuring and allowing us to discover his hostel I will come back with pleasure 😍😍 As a bonus, Caramel offers you her sweetness when you go to see her 😉

A simple Vosges farm inn. Enough to refuel and take a break if you hike in the area.

Super accueil. Cuisine simple et généreuse. Un moment très convivial. A su s'adapter à mon allergie. Allez-y, vous ne serez pas déçu.
