23/03/2026: These people are real rip-off artists: €3.80 for a tiny hot chocolate without milk, €2.20 for a par-baked baguette... The owner, upon learning we were in trouble (we were far from our destination and night was falling), offered to drive us five minutes ahead, but only for an extra €45! So we politely refused and decided to drive in the dark. Trying to take advantage of our precarious situation is really awful.
I don't recommend it unless you have absolutely no other choice.
I admit, however, that if this hostel hadn't been there, we would have been hungry as well as cold, so thanks to them for the overpriced baguettes, I suppose 🙃
18/03/2026: I stayed at this hostel during my hike. It's great that it's open when others are closed! The meals were hearty and homemade (?). Breakfast was also generous. I was a little unsure about the milk for the hot chocolate. The hostel owner is quite outspoken: you either love him or hate him, but I found it rather charming! At least he gets a chat! The view of the Vosges mountains is splendid, and it's just steps from the hiking trails! A minor point about the dormitories: between guests, perhaps the trash could be emptied, or the pillowcases replaced? A small broom would be great for picking up any dirt from our shoes. We leave the place clean for the next guest without needing the owner to clean. Thank you for your hospitality!

15/03/2026: A very good meal. The sirloin steak was excellent, the tarte flambée with Munster cheese was delicious, and the pasta Bolognese was very generous.
The service could be improved. We had to wait even though it wasn't very busy, and we found the preparation of our dishes a bit slow. However, the servers were still very friendly!
I recommend it.
03/03/2026: The staff were incredibly attentive; we spilled a meal tray and they remade the dishes without charging us again. The food was very good, I highly recommend it.

My menu: salad, meatloaf, and fries.
To drink: apple juice.
Superb!
Dessert: plum cake with cream and a great coffee.
Simply fantastic!
Plus, a magnificent view of nature.
What more could you want? And a great team!

06/02/2026: My partner and I spent one night there.
We were welcomed by a charming hostess.
After settling in, we enjoyed a hearty and truly delicious meal, served at our table by a pleasant, courteous, and smiling waitress.
The night was restful and restorative; the room was very comfortable, and the bedding was impeccable. The only slight drawback was the somewhat cramped shower. Perhaps the day spent enjoying tarte flambée, blueberry tarts, and the generous evening meal also contributed to my size and the space I occupied in the shower.
The breakfast was complete and more than we expected!
The couple who run this hotel are incredibly charming and delightful.
Located just 500 meters from the slopes, we couldn't have asked for anything better.
We will definitely return with our family.
My partner and I thank you for your warm welcome and generosity.
