Auberge du Vieux Brancion sur Martailly-Les-Brancion

The Auberge de Vieux Brancion has to be seen to be believed. Set in a stunning medieval village, it is a masterful blend of ancient wood and stone augmented by modern convenience and cleanliness. The owners are longtime residents of the village and their passion and pride shine through in the craftsmanship and attention to detail in the renovated property. We stayed two nights and it was absolutely wonderful! The village gets so quiet and peaceful after all the tourists leave, and you can sit and watch the most epic sunsets in front of the ancient church. If you like history and peace and quiet, this is the place for you. 10/10 definitely recommend.

A truly charming inn! Beautifully renovated, it perfectly preserves its original character with exposed beams, antique furniture, and authentic charm, while offering modern comforts, including air conditioning. The rooms are cozy, the bedding impeccable, with lovely sheets (a rarity!), and the bathroom tastefully renovated. And in the evening… what magic! The silence, the Milky Way, and all those stars give the place a truly timeless atmosphere. Not to mention the magnificent medieval town and its castle, whose colors at sunrise and sunset are absolutely breathtaking. We came to start our vacation and explore the area: no regrets whatsoever! An authentic, peaceful, and deeply rejuvenating place. A superb discovery, I recommend it 100%!

An excellent place for an authentic and high-quality family break in the heart of Burgundy. The hamlet is magnificent, beautifully preserved and presented. The recently renovated rooms are very comfortable. And above all, the team that takes such good care of us perpetuates a wonderful family tradition of hospitality and sharing local heritage. We regretted only staying one night!

What a lovely place to stop over! The room and bathroom were very clean and tastefully decorated, the bedding was excellent, and the welcome was very friendly; we were delighted.

We stumbled upon this inn during our trip to the south of France. What a wonderful discovery! The village transports you to another era; it's a true escape from the modern world. We particularly enjoyed the Hermeline room for its comfortable bed and spacious bathroom. We will definitely return to spend more time and explore the region. Thank you again, and see you soon.

Fantastic stay, very friendly hosts. We've known the inn for 30 years. Thankfully, it's open again. The furnishings are brand new and very tasteful. The air conditioning is great. Good dining options include a bistro and a garden area under linden trees. You'll find great pictures of the town everywhere. Highly recommended for time travelers. An exceptional stay at the Auberge du Vieux Brancion. The setting, a beautifully restored medieval village, is stunning. As for the gîte, it is very well appointed, elegantly decorated, and the welcome was very friendly.
