Charming, quiet hotel with a beautiful view. Very clean and the grounds are very well maintained. The staff is attentive and very friendly. The restaurant offers a good wine list featuring local wines, as well as typical regional dishes. A family-run hotel that stands out from impersonal resorts. Perfect for a quiet and relaxing weekend.

A superb hotel in a truly sublime setting in the heart of the countryside, with service that far exceeded our expectations. The staff and managers were very pleasant and offered excellent advice. I recommend it 100%.

We stayed there for two days while passing through and will definitely do it again. Excellent location, rooms, and service (friendly and always available). The view from the breakfast area or the restaurant is magnificent. You can also hike directly through the beautiful Burgundy countryside.

Auberge du Vieux Brancion

09/06/2026: Hikers and cyclists, if you're looking for comfortable and unique accommodation, the Auberge du Vieux Brançion is the place for you! Enjoy a warm, family welcome and Emma's charming outdoor café to refuel. Comfortable rooms in the heart of the medieval village!
02/06/2026: An extremely pleasant stay in Brancion. The village is pretty and peaceful (a remarkable castle, a Romanesque church with its touching medieval frescoes, and lush countryside just a few minutes' walk away). The family who runs the place deserves much of the credit, thanks to their strong commitment to the exciting adventure of keeping the village alive. The inn's new rooms are beautifully renovated: fine materials, lovely furniture, and exceptional bedding. The guesthouse next door is a haven of peace. It's well-appointed, the view of the castle from the kitchen is unique, and the small garden at the back is perfect for relaxing and recharging. The manager's mother is dynamic, friendly, and very interesting; she shares her passion for the place. She runs a small refreshment stand in her lovely garden. And Emma's outdoor café is very convenient, especially for breakfast. A big thank you to the whole team for sharing this wonderful experience!
