I came for lunch today with my family. To be honest, it was my first time eating at a restaurant on Mont Saint-Michel. The welcome was fantastic. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming. The service was impeccable and quick. The quality was excellent, no complaints whatsoever. And I would like to sincerely thank the young woman who took a photo of my family and me. I will definitely be back.

Food was made quickly, we got pizza that was burnt but the kind staff brought us right away different one without charging us anything in addition. The food was overall fine, but quite expensive which is expected in the tourist destination. The closest city is around 40 minutes by foot, so for us it was an okay choice.

A very warm welcome, a lovely, clean room, very helpful staff, and a much-appreciated luggage storage service – simply perfect! 👍👍👍 Plus, coffee, tea, herbal tea, and water were available in the room, along with a kettle – ideal for a quick break. Top-notch location, right in the center! 👌

Don't listen to the opinions of Parisians!!! We had a wonderful time; the hotel staff were very welcoming. As for the restaurant service, we were greeted by a very friendly head waiter. A set menu for €40, prepared to order, leaves you with a full stomach: a 600g appetizer of mussels, an incredible omelet (the likes of which I've never seen), and a very good dessert. Thank you to the whole team!

We had a fabulous time at the restaurant. We did not stay at the hotel so I can't review that. We visited the Abbey for their special night time opening on Dec 29, 2025 and this restaurant was one of a couple restaurants still open past 8 PM. The restaurant was very busy and very full but people were finishing and coming in so there's a steady avaialability every 10-15 min. We are a family of 4 and was seated right away. There were 2 servers and 1 helper for the whole restaurant but service was fast and very efficient. The quality of our food was great and corresponds with a good value for the price. We had the Omellette, steak and fries, fish with white sauce, appetizers and deserts as they come in the fixed menu.

24/09/2025: The prices are reasonable for the place. The service is simple, without frills. The andouille galette disappointed me: too sweet, too many apples, and not enough andouille. On the other hand, the complete galette was quite successful. The cider was good and very fresh. The sweet crepes are also very good. The waffle was decent, but €3 for three small piles of whipped cream is frankly excessive.
12/09/2025: The review is only about the restaurant. We had a small lunch here. The waitress was friendly, gave us the password for the WiFi. The dishes are not very expensive for such a place, but also of average size. The order of 5 different pancakes took no more than 20 minutes, which in our opinion is not bad.

La Vieille Auberge

13/03/2026: Room with a terrace and bay view. Fantastic. Breakfast was brought in the rain, which was just okay. Bring a basket instead.
11/03/2026: We only stayed one night, but it was a wonderful experience. After the tourists leave, Mont-Saint-Michel transforms: the place becomes incredibly beautiful, romantic, and silent. The lantern lighting creates a unique, almost magical atmosphere. Everything seems more peaceful and special. It was worth every minute we spent there! An unforgettable experience.
