While the dishes on offer demonstrate a commitment to quality ingredients and good cuisine, it is extremely regrettable to include the price of a lemon slice (without syrup) on the bill (listed as "Syrup-Slice," see photo with the total bill). What a shame!

The cuisine is authentic, generous, and refined, showcasing fresh, seasonal produce from local farmers. We particularly appreciated the balance between tradition and creativity, with dishes prepared with care and a real focus on quality. An ideal gourmet spot to share a lovely time in the Sologne region, which I recommend without hesitation. Bravo!

The food was very average, and the waiter's uniform was very dirty (large stains on a not-so-clean t-shirt). The service was adequate. The word "inn" doesn't apply to this restaurant.

Good seasonal and home-style cooking. We received a very warm welcome from the couple. The chef also helps with the service, which is a nice touch. We discovered this restaurant quite by chance while passing through town, and it was a very pleasant surprise. We highly recommend it.

Au Bistrot Gourmand

05/10/2026: A restaurant that lives up to its name: a truly gourmet bistro. The atmosphere and decor are typical of the French bistros we love, and it truly delivers on its promise of simple, excellent, and above all, homemade dishes. We tried the goat cheese mousse, light and flavorful; the Jargeau andouillette au gratin with homemade fries, a real treat; a perfect fish and chips that wasn't soaked in old frying oil; and for dessert, the Sologne-style cep mushroom with a medley of pear poached in wine, meringue, vanilla ice cream, and hot chocolate that left us wanting more. All this for a very reasonable price. During our next trip to the region, we'll definitely make another detour to this bistro of culinary delight.
12/09/2026: Excellent meal, the added bonus was the very pleasant back terrace, the waiter was very friendly, and the portions were generous.

06/05/2026: I really liked the hotel, very well maintained, refined, and the garden spaces are beautiful, with various types of animals, magnificent! The restaurant is very good, with great gastronomic experiences.
08/04/2026: I am surprised to find (on April 8th) a call from you on my mobile phone on Sunday, April 5th at 1:05 PM asking if I was keeping or cancelling the reservation for two people for Sunday, April 5th at 12:30 PM, when we arrived that Sunday at 12:15 PM and our reservation made by phone on Tuesday, March 21st was not taken into account! Luckily there was space available! What is your explanation? Thank you. Ms. M.C. Bourin
