A very generous meal for €18 or €25, typical regional cuisine, with beautifully presented dishes of excellent quality. A must-try, you won't be disappointed. Underrated for its quality, it deserves at least 4.5 overall.

In this age of the internet, check the restaurant's payment information and you'll stop crying foul,
especially since you've surely already looked at the menu and prices!
Auguste hasn't accepted credit cards for years because of the associated fees.
We go back regularly and are very satisfied with the value for money and the portion sizes.
As for the tourists who find the owner unpleasant, start by behaving properly!

Always a pleasure to come for lunch, a place that's been around for a very, very long time... still with the same owner. The set menu is reasonably priced at €18 for a starter, main course, and dessert; generous portions and delicious.
Don't hesitate.
The two waitresses are very friendly and professional, attentive and caring!
You'll get your money's worth, so don't be critical of the price. It's not a gourmet restaurant, given the prices; it's more of a casual, friendly place!
I'm a tradesman and I always enjoy eating here. We all have our favorite spots depending on where we're working, and Chez Auguste is one of them! The view of Jaizkibel (Fontarabia) and the ocean is exceptional.

An absolute must in Bidart! I go back every year with just as much pleasure for the baby squid, and I'm never disappointed. The owner is incredibly kind and attentive, and it's a real joy to find this consistency in the food year after year. Besides being in a great location, the value for money is simply unbeatable: it's really inexpensive for the quality and generous portions. Go without hesitation, it's a top-notch place!

If you're Spanish and looking for a place to eat, the €18 set menu here is a great option. We had a delicious meal, enjoying the cool terrace and excellent service. Every dish that came out of the kitchen looked amazing; it made you want to try everything. Although we only tried the €18 menu, the €25 and €14 menus also seemed just as good, or even better.
