We thoroughly enjoyed the new flavors. It requires a little patience, but it's well worth it.
Special mention goes to the bread, baked on-site, which is simply the best bread I've ever eaten.

Super friendly and helpful service and the food was fantastic. Very tasty and unique dishes. My boyfriend had delicious wine with it, and I was offered an alcohol-free wine due to my pregnancy. Normally I'm not such a fan of alcohol-free wine, but this one was very tasty!
If we are ever in the area again, we will definitely come back!

20/09/2026: A very pleasant experience. We had lunch and enjoyed the five-course menu. The cuisine was delicate, with delightful discoveries such as the combination of foie gras and citron. The welcome and service were perfect.
20/09/2026: A certain employee took it upon herself to ask one of her colleagues to throw a bucket of water on me and my intoxicated friend, who was trying to sober up after consuming a fair amount of alcohol. What's disturbing isn't really that she was bothered by us vomiting nearby (and not in, or at the entrance of her restaurant), but rather the way she did it. She could have simply warned us once before speaking to us like we were nothing and threatening to bring back a second, even larger bucket of water. Especially since my friend was unable to walk or control her urge to vomit. Otherwise, you can imagine I would have escorted her away from the crowd. It's not exactly a shining moment for anyone, is it?
Unlike some, I believe I understand the concept of respect. I am truly sorry that you missed out on your youth, madam, and incidentally, on your education. And perhaps, on your professionalism as well. At the very least, if I hadn't cooperated, wouldn't it have been enough for you to ask security to escort us? There were quite a few volunteers during the holiday season, it seems to me?
All this doesn't exactly make me want to eat at this establishment. In any case, I wasn't the one who dared to deface the wall near your beloved restaurant, and my phone unfortunately got wet. Do you think you might have a few pennies left over from your salary to allow me to repair it? That would be very kind of you, for a change. ☺️
You learn something new every day, after all.

30/08/2026: We arrived in Biarritz at night and had nothing planned for dinner. The only place we saw open that was closing in 20 minutes was this pizzeria. They had a great variety of well-made pizzas, and we ordered three to share: the truffle, the four-cheese, and the vegetarian.
For dessert, we ordered chocolate mousses, which were also delicious. We loved everything we ordered, so we highly recommend this place to anyone visiting the area. We got takeout because it was late, but they also have a large dining room where you can eat in.

21/05/2026: A memorable 3-night stay. The room we stayed in was exceptionally beautiful, decorated with taste and refinement. The hotel boasts an incredible swimming pool, sauna, and Nordine bath. We also enjoyed an exceptional couples massage. The cleanliness of the premises—room, common areas, and grounds—was impeccable. And what can we say about the Michelin-starred restaurant? We give it 5 stars; it's simply an explosion of flavors for the palate and a feast for the eyes. Simply perfect.
A huge thank you also to the entire team, who were incredibly attentive and always had a kind and friendly word. Thank you, Mr. Ibarboure, for this wonderful stay. We won't share any photos; we'll let you come and admire this enchanting place for yourselves.

04/10/2026: A huge thank you to Thierry Cornu of Le Spot and his team: I had the pleasure of celebrating my birthday at this establishment with 75 guests. The evening was a resounding success, exceeding all my expectations. The staff were accommodating, lovely, efficient, and always smiling.
The service was top-notch. The dinner was excellent, featuring high-quality ingredients (gazpacho, hake Spanish style, and Baked Alaska). The venue is very pleasant, with a large terrace offering mountain views for aperitifs, and the indoor dining area includes a spacious dance floor. Well done, Le Spot!

17/05/2026: We spent one night and had a meal there. A very nice establishment with lovely staff! Smiling, helpful, and efficient!
The food is excellent in an atmosphere truly representative of the Basque Country. We look forward to returning. Thank you for everything!

We had a very pleasant time at La Cucaracha. The rib-eye steak was simply excellent, cooked to perfection. The quality of the ingredients is evident, and it shows in the food.
The service is particularly pleasant, attentive, and professional, with a genuine sense of hospitality. A very welcome touch: there's no pressure to order more, which makes the experience all the more enjoyable.
As for desserts, a special mention goes to the homemade baba, which was delicious, accompanied by an excellent rum that perfectly complemented the dish.
The prices are quite reasonable; desserts under €10 are becoming rare!
Add to that a very pleasant setting, and you have a restaurant we wholeheartedly recommend.
A wonderful experience, good food, and the kind of service we love. We will gladly return!

Reading the reviews, we noticed comments expressing a similar feeling.
The dishes were excellent, despite a slight reservation about the hanger steak, which could have been a little more tender.
The welcome, however, was considerably less pleasant. The owner was cold, unsmiling, and unfriendly, whereas her attitude was different with regular customers.
We did, however, receive a smile… when it came time to pay the bill. The restaurant experience isn't just about what's on the plate; the quality of the welcome, the friendliness, and the attention paid to customers are integral to the pleasure of dining out.
This will be our last visit.
01/10/2026: It is a restaurant that I started to compose this review in my head once I start tasting the dishes.
It was exceptional! I was a bit nervous reading the recent comments. But honestly, the culinary skills of the chefs were exceptional! They made me dance while enjoying them. The signature starter was such a surprise - running eggs with bacon and walnuts. What a combination! They gave generous amount of bread, which I can’t help only finish half of them.
The beef main was generous portion. Not to mention the amazing creamy smell easily catch your attention. The layered potatoes were stuffed with cheese and bacon. So flavorful! The beef was carefully cooked - rare and tender! The sauce matched with it really well. I can’t help but close my eyes to enjoy it. During having my main, I have already started thinking of coming back. I am too full to order dessert. The red wine was also so so good!
It is such a high quality of fine dining. The interior is gorgeous too!
People mentioned about the service. To be fair, it is such a busy restaurant, with lots of locals dining there, and with only one waitress. I feel sorry for her. The chef served the starter and main himself to me, and helped me pay. This is how short of staff they are at the moment. I do think they are trying their best to serve well. But for a restaurant like this size, I think they need at least two more staff.
With the price for this quality of food and atmosphere, I am more than happy to give them a five star!
