Aux Petits Oignons sur Araches-La-Frasse

We had a wonderful time celebrating my father's 68th birthday. If you're on holiday in the area, come and try local dishes with a modern twist at this superb restaurant. And above all, try the Chignin Bergeron and meet the lovely team at "Aux Petits Oignons."

A semi-gastronomic restaurant, it's a shame this wasn't specified. Arriving at 1:45 pm with a reservation, we were shown to our table. Knowing we were a couple, we ended up next to a table of four, which we didn't really appreciate. There was a loudspeaker above my husband's table. We acknowledge that the owner asked if it bothered us, but unfortunately, given the table layout, this was a minor detail. We found the manager overly intrusive; she repeatedly tried to sell us sparkling water, even though we had a bottle of rosé costing over €35. She didn't offer us a carafe of water, which could have been complimentary. As for the meal, we ate very well, but the salad with foie gras and the salad with croziflettes (a type of pasta) were a bit too much salad to fill the plates. The decor is very welcoming. A few improvements could be made.

Excellent experience! The staff were really friendly, and the chef was very pleasant. The half-reblochon cheese was delicious, and the tarte tatin was incredible (I didn't have time to take a picture). Truly homemade!

This restaurant is absolutely fantastic. I reached out to Muriel earlier in the year looking for a place to have a big meal for 16 people for my 40th birthday. Muriel was incredible from the start and so helpful, sending options and updated menus. We had a couple of people with additional dietary requirements which Muriel catered to perfectly. The location is right in the center of the town so really easy to get to. Inside is lovely, very nicely decorated and very atmospheric. We had drinks on arrival and all 16 of us had truly expectational food which came out quickly and at the same time. Honestly I cannot recommend this place more. All the staff were so happy and friendly and made us feel so welcome. We are all still talking about it and how delicious the food was and how nice everyone was. It was the perfect end to a great holiday. Thank you Muriel and team, we hope to see you again :-)
