Aux Petits Oignons sur Embrun

A chance stop to explore Embrun. We stopped at this little restaurant where we enjoyed a hearty mountain platter. We weren't disappointed by this break; the welcome was friendly and the food was good quality and reasonably priced. 👏

Mixed reception, the owner's attire was sloppy, cleanliness questionable, the restaurant was practically empty (only two tables, including ours) so the service was quick. The crêpe filling was okay, but the galette itself was burnt. The set menu price was very reasonable.

Super galettes! We chose the Formula Galette: savory crepe + salad + dessert (choice of crepe with sugar or 2 scoops of ice cream). Excellent value. The cider was very good. Fast and friendly service. Highly recommended.

There are restaurants where you eat. And then there's Aux P'tits Oignons, where you spend time. It's not quite the same thing. Behind the stoves is Pascal. The kind of person you wish you met more often: generous, warm, authentic, with this wonderful way of doing things seriously without ever taking himself too seriously. At his place, you feel that they're still cooking for people, not for photographs. The plates arrive generous, the crêpes and pizzas have that delicious taste of homes with soul, and the welcome quickly gives you the strange and delightful feeling of being a regular… even if it's your first time. Pascal is a bit like the one-man band of the place: he cooks, welcomes, oversees everything, and transmits this good humor that ends up becoming an ingredient of the meal. You leave satisfied, of course. But above all, happy. And ultimately, a good restaurant is perhaps simply this: a place where you already want to return before you've even left.

Great meal. Good value for money. We ate very well. The dessert was excellent. The outdoor area is very pleasant in summer.

Wonderful Welcome and Excellent Dinner at “Aux Petits Oignons” on August 12, 2026 We received a very warm welcome at the “Aux Petits Oignons” restaurant and crêperie in Embrun on August 12, 2026 – from Pascal, the owner and chef, and from Laetitia, the new waitress, who has a wonderful way with people! We had a very good meal and especially recommend the “Salade du Chef,” which is varied and very generous, and where we could specify what we didn't like before it was prepared, as well as the excellent tartiflette and the trout with blue cheese! For dessert, the ice cream sundaes are outstanding, and the selection is particularly extensive! Many thanks to Pascal, Laetitia, and Olivier, a friend who came to help Pascal! A wonderful discovery in Embrun! We had a fantastic time as a family. The welcome was warm, the service attentive, and the food truly delicious. We particularly enjoyed the regional specialties, prepared with high-quality ingredients. The atmosphere is friendly and family-oriented. We highly recommend this place to discover the cuisine of the Hautes-Alpes!

Pizzeria located away from the center. Good, very simple pizza.

We had a very good meal. The children's menu was generous, and the savory crepes were well-filled. One sweet crepe was enough for the two of us (also well-filled). A minor drawback: they didn't offer bread (only for the steak, otherwise it wasn't a problem) and they were out of stock (no more pears, but they kindly offered another fruit). We received a very warm welcome. There were a few flies outside, but that wasn't the restaurant's fault. Personally, I recommend it; it's good value for money.

For the price, you've come to the right place. The team is fantastic, the waiter is friendly and accommodating, and the chef is amazing! Thank you and well done!
