The food was nice and we enjoyed the overall quality. However, we chose a set menu that was supposed to include a strawberry dessert, which unfortunately was no longer available. We accepted an alternative, but when we asked to change the dessert for the kids, we were charged extra. We found this quite inflexible and disappointing, especially given that the original option wasn’t available. A bit more flexibility would have made the experience much better.

Good Culinary experience. We went for lunch without a reservation; the restaurant was full, but they still found us a table. The starter for the daily special wasn't to my liking, so they offered me a crudité platter instead, which was a real plus. The portions are generous, the food is good, a treat for the taste buds!

This restaurant is located in the Strasbourg’ suburb of Illkirch but worth a detour for lunch or dinner. Booking your table is recommended, since it is a popular place for locals. The delicious food is served by friendly ‘no nonsense’ staff at a fair price.

08/06/2026: We were delighted with our experience at Auberge du Cerf this evening. The staff were welcoming, smiling, and attentive. The food was excellent, and the chef perfectly accommodated my food allergies, which is rare. A wonderful discovery and a new favorite spot where we will be happy to return. Thank you to this wonderful team.

21/05/2026: Excellent welcome, very good dinner in a lovely room with a warm atmosphere.
17/04/2026: As regulars at the restaurant's themed meals, we were always very satisfied, except for the last Damfnudle evening on Thursday, April 9th. Despite the restaurant being nearly empty, we waited a very long time for the side dishes and never received the extra salad or water card. The waitress seemed rather indifferent to our requests. It's a shame because we really enjoy eating there!
