We arrived on a Saturday at lunchtime, just as service was ending. The team quickly prepared a table for us, and we enjoyed an excellent meal. Great service, great food. Special mention for the Basque burger.

We had dinner at the end of July: hamburgers, baby squid, and hake as main courses, with croquettes as a starter. The atmosphere was very pleasant despite being full; we recommend making a reservation during peak season. The desserts are highly recommended; we tried the profiteroles and the chocolate fondue.

We ate there on Sunday for the Bayonne festivities. A large table, a fantastic atmosphere, an excellent meal, impeccable service! We had a wonderful time with friends and family!

The service was excellent, but the food was a bit of a disappointment. The baby squid lacked flavor; you couldn't taste the garlic. And the portion was rather small for the price. The fish of the day was good, and the steaks were too, although they were overcooked despite being ordered rare. This explains the missing star.

We had a wonderful meal and received a very warm welcome from our friendly waitress. She gave us plenty of time to enjoy our aperitifs. The meats were crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, and the fries were homemade. Flawless from start to finish. Thank you again for a lovely time. ☺️

13/08/2026: Passing through the beautiful city of Bayonne, I enjoyed a simple and delicious meal. The winemaker's sauce was excellent; I highly recommend it. ❤️ No need for advertising, as service started promptly at noon, and by 12:20 PM the restaurant was already full. Thank you to the manager.

19/08/2026: I was looking for a pastry shop for a dinner party at a friend's house, and the pastry chef offered me a whole Basque cheesecake that he'd just taken out of the oven. Not only did he do me a favor by selling me the whole cake when this pastry shop only sells individual slices, but on top of that, it was absolutely delicious! Their pain au chocolat is also worth a try!
11/08/2026: For the christening of our two grandsons, we had a tiered cake made by Gvella pastry shop. It was magnificent and exactly what we wanted. We will gladly return and will recommend them to everyone we know. Thank you for your professionalism and the originality of the macarons, which were a sensation.
