The Camembert with honey was very good, but the foie gras was very expensive for the portion served. High value for money.

Very affordable restaurant, but unfortunately the fish lacked seasoning. However, the service was excellent.

The atmosphere is warm and the staff is friendly. We walked in by chance and were delighted. The duck leg, in particular, was delicious.

The Latin Quarter has become our Friday night haunt, between the piano bar at the Café de Paris V and the concerts at MONK, the Taverne de Cluny. We're always looking for good restaurants a little off the tourist trail. This time, we spotted the Topo Rive Gauche restaurant, which seemed out of the ordinary. Listed on TheFork, we made a reservation for Friday night with a 20% discount. The day before, we received an email stating that the reservation had been canceled by the restaurant. Surprised, we called: they confirmed that there was still space, but without the discount. We decided to go anyway. A nice surprise! The place is pleasant, it feels good. For starters: fish soup and honey-roasted Camembert. For main course: lamb shank with mashed potatoes and fresh swordfish steak. Everything was perfect: a welcoming and attentive waitress, and congratulations to the chef who mastered his dishes perfectly. Despite the commercial error during the reservation, I recommend this restaurant—and we will gladly return.

The staff are friendly and the food is quite good. The restaurant has a nice atmosphere. However, there are a few issues. I'm writing this down because I hope the restaurant will fix them. 1. It seems like they're trying to overcharge tourists with water. I don't know if it's a coincidence, but when I look around, local French people are drinking other brands of water, while foreign tourists are all served Evian. At a nearby supermarket, they charge €7 for a drink that costs less than €1.50. Since I'm visiting a different region, I don't mind paying extra, but even a cursory glance reveals that the locals and foreigners drink different waters, and there's no choice. I didn't say I wanted to drink, so I ordered wine from the drink menu, but the water was already opened. 2. The wine storage and presentation are problematic. Just like the water, the wine was served in an already opened bottle, but I was sitting with my back to the counter, so I couldn't see how it was being processed. Furthermore, I ordered a Burgundy Pinot Noir, and it was warm. It was cold, so the temperature cooled down as I drank it, which was fine, but this is clearly a problem. 3. A different menu item arrived than the one I ordered. It's a bit of a stretch, but I think it was switched with the one at the next table. I was worried it would take longer, so I said I'd just eat, but luckily it tasted good.

Friendly restaurant. Good value for money. Pleasant welcome. Friendly and efficient server. I recommend it.
