Priceless view of the port and the entire gulf The prices, as in the whole country, are quite high for us Italians I was also able to have a good breakfast with chestnut flour pancakes with GLUTEN FREE sugar and honey (which the numerous bees also liked... which by the way I love very much :-) ) and an excellent cappuccino!!

The restaurant is very nicely located. You have a great view of the sea and the harbor if you sit in the front row. We ordered two cocktails which were rather expensive but pretty average. The service was fine.

Beautiful views to the city of Bastia. I was able to enjoy a very good hamburger, you could feel that it was freshly made

There are a lot of beautiful restaurants up at the Citadelle with amazing views across the harbour, but as a pescatarian it was a bit frustrating checking the menus and not seeing much we could eat. (Veal and charcuterie seem to be strangely popular for a harbour town.) The Bar de la Citadelle however had a veggie burger and a focaccia sandwich on offer, not grand dining perhaps but a decent burger with really excellent chips and a nice bottle of Corsican red, and of course friendly service and a great view as the sun set behind us on a warm early summer evening. After a disappointing and expensive meal at the harbour the previous evening, this turned out to be one of the highlights of our trip.

Misschien nieuwe eigenaar sinds 2019? Heerlijke tapas en streekproducten; veel vegan! Heel vriendelijke bediening! Geweldige plek, prachtig uitzicht, sfeervolle chansons op achtergrond. Enorm genoten!!

14/09/2024: I am surprised that this place does not have 5 stars, I honestly hesitated to arrive because of the reviews, I arrived here because it is the closest when you get off the ferry and wait for your bus to the south of La Corsica (they leave right in front), I arrived not expecting much of the service and food and I was honestly pleasantly surprised. Let's start with the food, it is DELICIOUS!!!! And the desserts, not to mention, were delicious, I think the photos and videos speak for themselves. The service is excellent, the man is so helpful and kind, you can see that he loves what he does, the place has a family and friends atmosphere. Don't be carried away by the old reviews, you are going to LOVE this place!!!
31/08/2024: We arrived late... around 2.30pm because they moved the ship for us. We stopped because it was open as many close at 2pm. Very kindly, we sat down and ordered. The dish of the day was tagliatelle... but given the time we opted for 2 burgers. Very good, much better than the various MC and Burger King ones. The best burger I've eaten so far. The first reviews are a bit scary but it was the old management. Advised.
