Nico gave us a very warm welcome. The sharing platter was delicious. The Basque cake was divine. A very pleasant experience. We will definitely return and highly recommend it.

A truly excellent place, with simple, local, and delicious dishes. Enjoying a wonderful plate of baby squid, practically on the harbor, on the terrace, under the November sun, was pure bliss for this family holiday weekend. Don't hesitate, you won't be disappointed! 15/01/2026: We visited La Boete in Saint-Jean-de-Luz and loved the experience. It's a nautical bistro right in the city center, with a very special atmosphere where the Atlantic is present in everything, even the details of the place. We tried several dishes to share, and they were all excellent: haddock tartare, house-made foie gras, tuna ham with hummus, herring tartare with beetroot and capers, and a truly delicious fish and chips with homemade tartar sauce. For dessert, we ordered their crème brûlée "their way," with pineapple at the base. It's a different take on the classic, interesting and well-executed. If you're in Saint-Jean-de-Luz and enjoy good food, this is a highly recommended stop. Good ingredients, excellent preparation, and a lovely atmosphere.

03/01/2026: Great time with friends. The welcome was great, a small, unpretentious restaurant but with very nice food.
29/12/2025: What a treat to stumble upon this place! The staff were super friendly, and the food was incredibly presented and delicious, not to mention the menu is a great deal. The tuna steak and tuna tataki were highlights. Would definitely recommend for anyone searching for dinner in Saint Jean de Luz!
