Bar le Sud sur Valras-Plage

Hello, I like eating at this restaurant.

We didn't like our seafood burgers or butcher's burgers at all. The staff is pleasant, quick, and efficient.

Delicious food, friendly staff.

After several visits, I'm always pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food, and a huge plus for the team, both for the atmosphere and the service in general. We thank Lara because we've had her several times and it's a real pleasure!

I just ate there this past Thursday, July 9th. The welcome was good, but how to put it... the clothing, which revealed intimate parts of the body, isn't really appropriate in the presence of children and it's unprofessional. The mussels were plentiful and tasty! On the other hand, the fries were very meager and of average quality. I'd like to point out two things on the menu that really caught my eye: - Every shared dish or plate is charged at €2.50 for a table service...? Just to pour a couple of drinks? I've never seen that in any of the restaurants I've been to, especially considering the price/quantity offered for these shared dishes. - The set menu of starter + main course / main course + dessert is only available at lunchtime; otherwise, in the evening, you have to order all three courses. Either the menu is poorly explained, or this is intentional, and I would find that really dishonest. What difference would it make to have this choice at lunchtime or in the evening? I wanted a main course and dessert, but I ended up ordering something else instead... The bread was stale... the crumb was dry and the crust was like rubber... A bit disappointed, to be honest.

Everything is impersonal. The waiters are unfriendly. Tourists are treated like fools.

We had a very good meal. The carbonara was very good, however, the €2 parmesan (extra) was outrageous, especially since it came in a tiny container (it was only a tablespoon). We ordered three carbonaras, and €6 worth of powdered parmesan was ridiculous! 😭 The seafood casserole was very good, as was the beef skewer. The children's menu of nuggets and fries was a hit with our little one; they were very crispy! 👍 As for the aperitifs, the sodas and beer were cold, as was the glass of red wine we had with our meal. However, the kir and white wine were lukewarm 😰, so we had to add an ice cube 😅😭, which wasn't great.

We had a wonderful time in Valras! The atmosphere was pleasant, the service was quick, and the staff was welcoming. A big thank you to Lara, who was very professional, smiling, and particularly pleasant throughout the meal. We will gladly return!

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ What an incredible experience at Le Sud! From the moment we arrived, we felt completely welcome. Our server, Lara, was absolutely wonderful. Her English was perfect, which immediately put us at ease and added a very personal touch to our evening. She was warm, attentive, and always smiling, and truly went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. A huge compliment also goes to the owner, Pierre, who has created an exceptional restaurant. You can feel his passion and attention to detail in every aspect of the experience. The atmosphere is fantastic, the service is impeccable, and, oh my goodness... the food... WOW! Every dish was beautifully presented and absolutely delicious. We could dine at Le Sud every night of our vacation and never get tired of it. This establishment has everything you could want in a great restaurant: wonderful people, incredible food, and an atmosphere that makes you want to come back again and again. Thank you, Lara and Pierre, for making this evening so memorable. We can't wait to come back!
