12/07/2024: Hôtel de la Gare in Ambert super good super comfortable very good welcome nice little restaurant highly recommended

20/06/2024: This hotel is generally closed on Sunday evenings, but after accepting a group of cyclists, the owner courteously offered me a room for the evening. Breakfast was good value for money. Too bad I couldn't stay to sample the restaurant's dishes.
