The place is cozy and charming, filled with all sorts of lovely little things... A bit timeless. 🤔🥰😇 It's like an "enchanted" cocoon. A must-try!
We have fond memories of the trompe-l'œil cakes, especially the Corsican mandarin. 😋😋😋 Today, it's something else entirely: travel cakes, shortbread cookies, pastries, brioche, meringue, old-fashioned macarons, and matchstick cookies... 😋😋 All excellent.
And then there's the daily special, delicious: fresh ingredients, perfect seasoning, beautiful presentation, and lovely floral plates. 🤩😍 Refined and perfectly balanced cuisine with a wonderful harmony of flavors. And let's not forget the magnificent fruit desserts and the chocolate. 😋😋
🎼🎶🎶 The jazzy background music is very pleasant and cool, just like everything else...
The welcome is so charming. 😀 What more could you ask for? We ❤️ it.

05/06/2026: A step back in time to an atmosphere of another era. A touch of nostalgia that feels good and is a far cry from burgers. The food is simple but very good.
A word of advice: you must book ahead because a three-course meal (starter, main, cheese, dessert, wine, and coffee) for €18 per person is of this quality!
Oh yes, and the portions are generous too. A lovely establishment.
19/05/2026: A warm and friendly place, seemingly untouched by time, where you can dine in a style reminiscent of the 60s and 70s. The food is excellent and plentiful. A place to remember if you're passing through Ambert.

I was able to park nearby easily.

02/04/2026: A very pleasant stay at this hotel located in the center of Ambert. Room (10) is spacious with excellent bedding and a large bathroom.
Add to that a delicious restaurant and a warm welcome (despite what the naysayers might say).

01/06/2026: Our group received a very warm welcome during the Ambertrail 2026. The rooms are clean and have all the essential amenities. Dinner was excellent, and the owners are friendly and very accommodating. A pleasant surprise for those who aren't looking for a 5-star experience at any price.
01/06/2026: The hotel is ideally located: close to the historic center, next to the leisure park and the tourist train station. It has private parking, and a large parking lot is also located just a few meters away.
The hotel staff is very friendly and attentive to their guests.
The rooms are clean and well-equipped.
We had a very good dinner, and the breakfast buffet was plentiful.

17/07/2026: The pool is always lovely, but I'm surprised to see green streaks on the walls at the deepest point. Algae? I've always seen this pool extremely clean, but it seems the recent heatwave has taken its toll.
30/06/2026: Not posting the closing times for the small pool used for gym classes on the door is inconsiderate. As a result, we had a wasted hour's drive and two crying children. Thank you for your consideration.

01/07/2026: A friend introduced us to a takeaway meal from this establishment. It was a wonderful discovery and a beautifully prepared meal (fish stew), excellent in both quality and quantity.
We will definitely order from them again; I highly recommend them.
