Bar Restaurant Les Arcades sur Bayonne

To begin with, it took them 45 minutes to take our order. Another 30 minutes until they served our food. I ordered the suckling pig, €19.50 for a tiny piece. They must have thought I wasn't very hungry, because the guy at the next table ordered the same thing and got a normal-sized plate. My boyfriend ordered the ribeye steak, €21. Whether it was actually beef would have to be checked; it certainly didn't seem like it, and it was very tough. They cleared our plates but couldn't even take our dessert order. Another 20 minutes before we finally managed to order. Anyway, I don't recommend it.

The food was excellent and delicious, the waitresses were very friendly and attentive. It was already closing time, but they still served us very quickly. I definitely recommend it.

A great little spot if you're ever in Bayonne!! ☀️ The duck confit was delicious, as was the daily special (grilled cod fillet). The desserts were just as good as the main courses, and it was a real treat to discover the local specialty, "Basque Cake"! 😋 The waiter who looked after us was a real ray of sunshine, even at 8 pm under a bright moon 🌙 He was so friendly and helpful, which was much appreciated! As for the atmosphere, I think turning the music down a bit would be great. I tried to call the waiter several times (4-5 times) and he never heard me 😦 I'll definitely be back! 😎

Excellent service and a very good meal; I recommend it despite the music being a bit loud and not very suitable for all tastes.

Friendly staff, varied menu, quality cuisine with generous portions. Good value for money for aperitifs, starters, main courses, desserts, coffee, and drinks.

Good Basque-French food - I recommend the duck

A restaurant that doesn't look like much from the outside, a menu a bit old-fashioned I would say but the food was very good. The fries are really delicious, the burger too but I give it 4/5 because there is way too much béarnaise sauce in the burger.

Edit with another evening at Les Arcades: As a family with two children. Awesome €10 children's menu! Chicken and fries with a little extra gravy, and Serrano ham and fries for my eldest, with homemade mayonnaise, to die for! Water syrup and a scoop of ice cream. For us, the cider vinegar squid and 7-hour shredded lamb were a real treat. Let's not even talk about the two signature desserts; the photos speak for themselves. Top-notch service! Special mention for our darling Coco Debo. And delicious food, 😉 Lolo. Bravo to the owner! A lovely evening at Les Arcades. Birthday meal at Les Arcardes. Very good cocktails 🍸, followed by quality dishes, and excellent charcuterie for the large sharing platter. Attentive staff and a very friendly setting. We had a wonderful time. Thank you 😀

Very nice and cozy restaurant with friendly service. Really delicious food. We took duck with figs and mushrooms, and lamb with aubergines. Reasons price for such dishes. Absolutely enjoyed.
