Bajadita sur Bayonne

On this vacation with some friends, we booked this restaurant well in advance, and our expectations and needs were fully met. I had reported an allergy, and as soon as we arrived, the owner promptly asked for information and who the specific needs were; thank you 🙏. The variety of dishes offered is a perfect mix of land and sea, with tasty dishes and quality ingredients. The appetizers (fried fish and cured meats) were excellent, and the main courses, with truly wonderful meats, were also excellent. The desserts, if possible, were even better; the brioche and Irish coffee were amazing 👏. The owner recommended an excellent red wine and was very courteous, friendly, and helpful. The quality/price ratio, given the food on offer, is definitely very good. A place worth a visit. Well done!

We had a wonderful time at this restaurant. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted by Jeanne and Nelson with great kindness and professionalism, which immediately set the tone for the evening. The staff is attentive, smiling, and genuinely concerned about their customers' well-being. As for the food, we thoroughly enjoyed it from start to finish. The dishes were generous, beautifully presented, and prepared with high-quality ingredients. The flavors were perfectly balanced, and each plate demonstrated true culinary expertise. We particularly appreciated the attention to detail and the freshness of the ingredients. It's always a pleasure to discover an establishment where the quality of the cuisine is complemented by such a warm welcome. A truly excellent restaurant that we wholeheartedly recommend. A wonderful surprise while passing through Bayonne! We were delighted with the welcome, the service, and the quality of the food. The homemade tarragon mayonnaise was excellent! Don't hesitate!

The dishes were beautifully presented and delicious! They were cooked exactly to our liking, and the portions were generous for this level of quality. There's a view of the river, and very little traffic when you're seated on the terrace. In short, I highly recommend it!

We stopped there for lunch during our visit to Bayonne. We wanted a light meal with local products, so we ordered platters: they were delicious! And of course, dessert! Just as good! Their grill service and the meat they offer looked very tempting.

In September 2020, I ate at Bajadita, the starting point of the Baztán Trail. I returned on May 2nd for another meal. We had the weekend menu; everything was delicious and beautifully presented. The staff was very friendly and attentive.

We had planned to eat at a restaurant, but passing by Bajadita, the ambiance and style of the restaurant made us change our minds. From the mojito to the ribeye steak, everything was perfect... I often eat dry-aged ribeye steaks from different places, etc., but here, the tenderness of the meat was truly exceptional. Not to mention the Bayonne ham, which is outstanding! A quiet, classic restaurant—in short, a very pleasant place to be.
