A good, authentic bar tabac. Great lamb. Fun wines. Crowded good time. Do not go if you mind smoke or are vegetarian. Go if you want to be with locals. Great fun.

Well worth a visit if you’re in Saint-Remy. I highly recommend booking a table and ordering the beef carpaccio. Octopus also delicious. Good atmosphere and in easy and convenient location.

Walking past we managed to get a table for dinner. The 3 staff( I’m guessing two older male owners and a waitress??)were busy so not super friendly or attentive. But the food made up for it!!- my wife had the Octopus, which was sooo tender, I opted for the lamb & a bottle of Provence dry white wine.
All was delicious. If coming in summer I’d suggest a booking!

We came early without a reservation in late May and were lucky to get a table. The leg of lamb was excellent! The three persons serving customers were all pleasant and attentive. There was also live music across the way (not loud) that added to the ambiance.

I often vacation in St. Remy and love going to this restaurant, which is popular with both locals and tourists. The service is excellent and quick, and the food is high quality. I feel very welcome there, even as a tourist. Highly recommended.

On this rather gloomy and very windy day, we stopped at Le Comptoir du Gigot for lunch and, above all, to warm up... Excellent meal, warm welcome, and impeccable service... We'll definitely be back!

Excellent restaurant. The leg of lamb and the dauphinoise potatoes were superb. We were a group of 19 people. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed their meal. The owners were very welcoming.

Passing through the region, the beef tartare was amazing, the duck breast skewer was excellent, and the homemade fries were a real trip down memory lane.
Everything was delicious.
Highly recommended! Great place!

Simplicity, conviviality, warmth… We stumbled upon the café quite by chance late in the afternoon, caught in the rain… We immediately wanted to stay for dinner… And we weren't disappointed! The lamb was excellent, the owner let us taste a delicious wine… the desserts were equally impressive.
But above all, the welcome was so warm! Places like this are becoming rare.
