Bi Ur Arte sur Hendaye

We came on holiday to this lovely town and ended up at this restaurant. We ordered two burgers: the chef's burger and the chicken burger, and we were quite satisfied. They even put pizza tomato on my burger, and I've never tasted anything so good. When we arrived, we barely spoke any French, but the waiters spoke fluent Spanish and helped us every step of the way. The restaurant has beautiful views of the beach; it's simply incredible. The only minor issue I found was with the restrooms. I understand they can't remove all the graffiti, but the faucet didn't have a handle, and there was no soap. Also, the toilet flush button was broken, but it worked. If they remodel the restrooms, this restaurant would be much busier, and we would definitely return.

While the food is nothing special (frozen potatoes, rather bland dishes), the staff is very welcoming. The setting is pleasant, and local beer is readily available.

Excellent place! We popped in at noon sharp on a Wednesday in July, just the two of us. The XXL burger was delicious, cooked exactly as ordered. The Caesar salad had plenty of dressing (which is rare) and loads of Parmesan. We ordered dessert even though it wasn't really necessary, given the portion size.

We stopped to watch the Spain match and then had dinner on the terrace! The salads were very substantial and delicious, which is what everyone ordered because of the heat. The cocktails were also very good! If you're in the area, stop by and enjoy the place and the views of the beach right across the street.

For a snack, the best spot with a sea view

We settled down facing the ocean to enjoy a local beer and soak up the sea air and sunshine... a very well-located spot... Very friendly welcome...
