The food was very good, the tagliatelle carbonara was excellent. The glass of rosé (Côtes de Provence) was light and pleasant. The waitress was very friendly and efficient. The setting is great. Excellent value for money. There's a large screen outside, which is fine if it's not too bright. Overall, very positive.

This isn't the first time, so I know their food is good, but the service is lacking at the moment. The kitchen opening time is very approximate. We waited 30 minutes after the kitchen opened without anyone bringing us the menu, while other people who arrived later were served, so we left.

23/01/2026: I stopped by Hendaye on my layover on my way from Paris to San Sebastian. There's a wine shop at the front of the entrance and a wine bar at the back. They have a wide selection of wines by the glass, as well as beer and liqueurs. They also have a wide selection of tapas. The portions might be a little too much for one person. There didn't seem to be an English menu, but the staff were happy to assist me in English. They were very friendly and I felt at home.😊
