When you work in Aix, it's the best option for eating well at lunchtime. Lots of choice and good quality products.

Very good but a shame to be so stingy in quantity. The bowl was half full, it's not worth €8.50

26/06/2024: Upon entering, the restaurant's unusual interior immediately catches the eye, offering a unique and intriguing ambiance. Unfortunately, we had to sit inside due to rain an hour earlier. We were seated at a corner table in the back of the room, despite a more appealing table remaining free all evening. And although the rain had stopped an hour earlier, the hotel did not cater to outside seating—not even for aperitifs. The food was excellent. We indulged in a three-course dinner, and every dish was a testament to the chef's skill and creativity. However, the portions were quite small, especially considering the price of 135 euros for 3 courses. Service, regrettably, was a major letdown. Despite opting for a wine pairing, the second wine arrived nearly after we had finished the main dish — only one of the three raviolis remained on the plate by then. There was no apology from the sommelier, which added to the disappointment. Moreover, the staff was quite pushy about the aperitifs, returning twice to see if we were ready to order. Also, we ordered a cheese plate and dessert, expecting them to be served sequentially. Instead, they were brought out simultaneously. Lack of coordination was a real shame, as the food and its flavors were delightful but ultimately overshadowed by the poor service. In conclusion, while the taste and quality of the food were exceptional, the overall dining experience was marred by subpar service and a lack of attention to detail. It's unfortunate that the waitstaff's shortcomings detracted from what could have been a memorable culinary adventure.

Restaurant Le Art - Château de la Gaude

20/07/2024: A true hidden gem, this restaurant exceeded our expectations. We sat outside on the terrace, enjoying gorgeous views of the grounds. Our waiter was extremely pleasant and the sommelier was very knowledgable, he spent more time with us than any sommelier I have encountered, explaining to us the difference between several wines we were contemplating on ordering. We went for the full tasting menu so we could stay longer and enjoy the gorgeous terrace. The menu was heavy on fresh local ingredients, interesting yet delicious combinations. They were able to tweak the menu for my gluten free allergy and overall it was one of the better meals in Provence. I will definitely go back if I am in the area. I give it my GoldnAdvice seal of approval.
Bravo !
