Great restaurant find! Warm and friendly welcome. Excellent home cooking… go without hesitation, you'll leave with a smile on your face ;) I personally had a stew and snails, and for dessert, a raspberry and pastis flan… a real discovery!

Four years ago, I was in Clermont-Ferrand for a training course. The conditions of this placement were demanding and the requirements very high, so I had no choice but to have a drink to unwind at the Bistro de la Mairie. And I was right: I fell in love with the place, its atmosphere, and its regulars. I ended up leaving my job and Brittany to settle in Auvergne, so I could frequent the "BDM" more often, as its regulars like to call this cozy little bar. Today, I'm expecting a baby boy with a woman from Clermont-Ferrand, and I already know his name: Quentin.

A very friendly bar, the beer is reasonably priced. The tapenade, although a bit salty, is still a welcome treat after a few pints. The bread slices are cut perfectly by a waiter who's always on top form, and the atmosphere is always lively.

A very friendly bistro with a lovely atmosphere at lunchtime, perfect for enjoying delicious food. It's also ideal for spending enjoyable evenings with friends. They host a variety of events for socializing and discovering new things! I highly recommend it!

Small but good menu, great service, delicious food...

We stopped in Clermont for a meal break and we hit the nail on the head 🤗 ... the menu is limited, unusual and very interesting, retaining Auvergne dishes ... my 10-year-old daughter enjoyed herself even though there was no children's meal available and she tasted everything we asked for! The portions are generous and balanced. In short, the next time we're in the area, we have a sure address 🤩 ... The + at the foot of the cathedral... The -, the busy road
