A wonderful discovery to visit the Saulaie Cathedrals. The decor is typical of troglodyte dwellings, and the meal was perfect. Thank you to Thomas for his warm welcome, kindness, and impeccable service. We'll be back for the meal... and for Thomas 😉. The customers from Sunday, August 23rd at lunchtime, preferring subtraction to addition 🙂🙂

The setting is magnificent, the food is very good, although the savory pastries were a bit bland. The service is pleasant, but be careful when placing the plates, avoiding walking in front of the person next to you. My only complaint is that tea isn't included in the €6 drink option when you don't order coffee, as is the case in most restaurants. I paid €37.50, and I had to add €2.90 for tea… that's not very customer-friendly!

A must-try in the Loire Valley, this troglodyte restaurant offers a warm welcome and excellent service. Anouck was fantastic during our visit in mid-July. And we were treated to a delightful visual surprise at the end of our meal! 😉 I highly recommend this place.

28/08/2026: A very enjoyable time spent together. Excellent service. The rillettes and beans were a little dry. But there was plenty of them. Warm welcome.
23/08/2026: Everything was excellent! The food, the service, the price… They have a set menu, but they were willing to modify it for me and offer a vegan meal. That was much appreciated. They offer all-you-can-eat for a fixed price, with dessert and wine included. The atmosphere was also very pleasant. I sincerely recommend it!

05/05/2026: A pleasant overnight stay at the Auberge de la Rose. The owners are a welcoming couple who offered helpful advice. The room was clean and comfortable. We enjoyed the generous breakfast buffet before heading out for a walk! I highly recommend it!
04/05/2026: Reservation for a group of 28 motorcyclists for a meal on the evening of May 2nd. The contact for the reservation was pleasant. The meal was very good, with unbeatable value for money. The service was friendly, even accommodating a last-minute change for a member's dish, even though the menu had been set a week prior.
