Lovely restaurant in a charming square, quite centrally located in Valence.
A wide selection of dishes, which were not only delicious but also beautifully presented and incredibly reasonably priced.
The set menu is highly recommended, as are the steak tartare and the gaufré for dessert.
Friendly staff and clean restrooms.

The place is as welcoming as ever.
The service is perfect, the wait for a Saturday lunchtime, market day, was more than reasonable, and the price reflects the quality of the service.

The food is always good and plentiful here.
However, it's a bit pricey if you order à la carte.
This brasserie has the advantage of being one of the few places in Valence that still serves customers late into the evening, which is a plus.
The welcome was good, but the music selection on this June 21st was terrible. It was so loud we had to leave before dessert because we couldn't hear ourselves speak. It wasn't a music festival anymore; it was a festival of bad musical taste.

Yes, well, it was my first time. The food was good but not exactly amazing. The restaurant was noisy inside. The waiters were friendly. It's hard to be enthusiastic.

Go if you want to eat at the same pace as McDonald's. we ordered drinks, wine and main dish dinner. Wine was just arriving when they brought us our dishes, less than 5 minutes from ordering. Sent it back, told wait staff to chill and we would advise them when we were ready. Thankfully the meal was good, shrimp slightly overcooked but still acceptable.

A superb terrace in the charming pedestrian center of Valence, beautifully prepared dishes – my cod fillet, pearly white throughout, was cooked to perfection – and impeccable service. 🙂 You'll have a great time at Bistrot des Clercs, which has all the hallmarks of a local institution. 🙂
